Watch out for the spicy papaya salad! Be prepared to be served from their prix fixe menu (available online), amd make sure you enjoy a wide variety of flavors, as the chef does a great job of providing a little bit of everything: spicy chili-seasoned salad, savory pumpkin curry, well-seasoned chicken dishes, and a nice platter of fruit for dessert. I wanted to post a picture, but we ate everything so quickly!
The prix fixe menu is one of the best in DC- $30 for your meal, and a different theme each night. I went with two friends on vegetarian night on Sunday and everything was delicious. We started out with chips (I think maybe plantain?), a warm and yummy curry soup with tofu, papaya salad, and fresh rolls. The papaya salad was a little too spicy for us, so we couldn't finish it, but it was still very good. The entrees were the pumpkin curry (so good!), a tofu dish, a tofu and mushroom stir fry (very spicy), a glass noodle dish, and pad see ew (one of the highlights). All with brown rice. It was so filling and we definitely struggled to finish it all. The food kept coming! Finally for dessert, we had sticky rice with mango. It was the perfect ending to our meal. The ambiance here is fantastic, and the place is BYOB for wine, so you can bring your own bottles. I recommend coming here for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself to a prix fixe, authentic Thai menu.
We had a great date night. Fantastic service & delicious food - they accommodated a vegetarian on a non-vegetarian night. Love the BYOB. Like both locations.
I don’t say this often but by far one of the best places in DC. The food was out of this world. I was able to try many different dishes and the price is right. If you like wine and want to bring your own bottles you are able to do so for a $5 corking fee. You pay one flat fee and depending on your group you will get a variety of different dishes that the kitchen decides for you. My favorite was a pumpkin curry seasonal dish. This would be a perfect restaurant to take a large dinner party to, a family get together, or an intimate date
We did an early vegetarian dinner before a show. Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. Will definitely return. The chef made a point to come out and ask us how we liked it as we left, and he seemed to sincerely want feedback and not just praise. That endeared me to him and his restaurant even more.
