Food is delicious, and service is excellent! The owners (married Ethiopian couple) are friendly and very considerate; when they ran out of Ginger Ale, they went to the establishment next door to get another Ginger Ale for me. The chicken tibs were delicious, as the flavor was just right. The injera was baked perfectly! This was a great find near the U street corridor!
Very tasty and super authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Each bite is a savory delight of its own. I was raised on Ethiopian food and one of my favorite homemade style restaurant. The coffee is out of this world as well. We ordered a couple of entries as a group and everything that I tried on the menu was delicious.
Customer service was good too eventhough it was such a busy day.
Small place, very warm atmosphere with the lighting and Ethiopian jazz music. The manager was very inviting and gave us suggestions for how to make the most of our order that actually made it cheaper. The food was very filling and tasted amazing.
My first time visiting, but my daughter is a frequent visitor. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious! Try the fish! We also enjoyed a vegetarian combo with 4 items: beets, collards, cabbage and carrots, and the spicy lentils. All were very well made. I will be back the next time I am in the city.
Excellent food, great for the whole family. My three boys loved the meat platter and my wife loved the vegan selection. The owner suggested some substitutions for her favorite meats. Everything had great flavor! The service was also excellent.
