Andy's Pizza 9th St (Shaw)

After going multiple times I feel comfortable giving this my formal seal of approval. This pizza is good and the pies are massive compared to what I think most people reasonably expect in downtown DC. My first time through I ate six slices when I found out how delicious it was, and succumbed to my hubris. I recommend tasting the classic margherita and a pepperoni or other meat za if you consume meat. For the latter, get the spicy honey add-on and treat it like you might garlic dipping sauce.

Highly recommend the ricotta pizza- this was my favorite. We also got wings and kale salad, all very delicious. Ordered 4 big pizzas for 9 people which was too much but we wanted to have a selection.

Love the pizza. I still think it's the best in the DMV. However, this location is difficult to get to due to lack of parking. You have to double park in order to just pick up your order. This isn't safe because there is a lot of traffic in this area. This is my first time going to this location and the staff seemed to be so overwhelmed with all their orders, they had to ignore the long line of costumers standing inside and outside of the store. Like I said, I ❤️🍕, but it's just not worth the time and effort for me to return to this location.

Fantastic pizzas! Ordered a pepperoni and a a mushrooms and onion. Crust was perfectly chewy, toppings were fresh and flavorful. Both were coming out of the oven as I arrived. Family also loved the Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts. We will be back for more.

My first experience was yesterday, and I must say I was impressed by the the pizza taste & size was delightful. Four stars only because I ordered Buffalo wings well done, and it was not fulfilled. They where plain no taste at all, and not cooked well. Overall, I will eat here again because we enjoyed the pizza.
