Unique setting, ideal for meet ups and delicious menu. The staff was curtious and attentive. The surrounding landscaping also a sight that sits well on the eyes. Parking relatively plentiful throughout the streets around location, as well.
This is maybe one of my favorite neighborhood fixtures, I'd say I pretty consistently get a potato doughnut (possibly the best doughnut I've ever had) and a Vietnamese iced coffee at least once every weekend (twice if I can). Also, my favorites easy spot to grab an impromptu brunch.
Being a regular customer at this fine dining place, I should have rated them higher because food is very good and staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating. But tonight’s experience (in particular) at this place merits a ‘Zero’ Star. After waiting for almost 45-50 minutes in a not too busy restaurant, the fancy burger arrives cold to touch and the bun is colder. The manager kindly offered to have the meal prepared again but I had to decline as time was of essence. I am hoping that this is a one off experience and am reporting this to help the restaurant better manage their processes and keep their well-deserved reputation as a fine dining place.
Little Pearl has a small cafe menu, and its fried chicken sandwich is the star of the show. Awesome bread, tasty chicken, and a spicy sauce. Simple but one of DC’s best. Tacos also looked great. Order and pay at the bar, take a name stand, then grab a table or a seat at a communal table, and an employee will find you with your order.
