Excellent find near D.C. Vacationing during a summer heat wave, we'd just arrived, exhausted from our flight. We stumbled upon Martin's randomly and wow, was it a treat! They were packed with a lunchtime crowd, but we still managed to get great service at the bar. Great menu offering pub food and an impressive beer selection, too. We'll definitely visit again when we return to the D.C. area!
I love this place.!! Awesome food awesome people.. the owner Billy is one of a kind and will make you feel like family.. Gotta love it. They have a new regular!! Me!!! Lol..
You will not be disappointed. Trust me!
Recommended by the concierge at the Watergate- this is WAY more than a pub and gets packed because the food, drinks, service and ambiance are True to DC- if you go to DC get to Martin’s! Went for brunch last weekend, awesome spicy Bloody Mary, ordered brunch-crab cakes with eggs on top with bacon, home fries and toast- Heaven! Waiters will give you great advice if you’re not sure. Oh, try one of the chowders too and Brunswick stew! Great experience!
in someways i want martins to change. like offering a non dairy milk option. or more than one treacherous bathroom stall. but martins will never change and that’s its charm. great food. incredible staff.
For me, there is nothing not to like about Martin's. The atmosphere and ambiance is exactly what I expect from a tavern. The menu meets expectations and the food is excellent. We have been there during the holiday season and Martin's is decked out and decorated fantastically. If you are in Georgetown, I would highly recommend a visit to Martin's - probably worth a trip to Georgetown as well.
