Underground Pizza DC

This is the best pizza I've had in a LONG time! It's like that old school Pizza Hut pan pizza, back when they had all-you-can-eat buffets and their pizza actually tasted good. I got the UPC sampler and two pizzas: The Flag and The Tiger King. The crust is just the right amount of crunchy/chewy, with an edge of crispy, salty cheese. Everything was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Those thick-cut pepperoni cups add a lovely texture. And let me tell you, that pizza is dense and filling! With 4 slices in a half-size, it lasted me 3 meals. This is for sure my new favorite pizza place in the DMV.

I got takeout and the pick up made it truly feel underground because there's no storefront for DC (yet). I had to text the number on the website because I couldn't find it. Immediately got a reply with instructions to go inside a nearby sports bar. The hostess sent me to a woman in a hoodie sitting at a high top table near the bar (who looked like any other patron there for a meal, with food and drink in front of her). She took my name, disappeared for a minute, and came back with all my food packed up to go. Felt weird, but totally worth it for that delicious food!
