Mi Apá Latin Café of Gainesville

Heard from a friend that there was great breakfast here, and decided I needed to have a real Cuban coffee again. Was not disappointed! What they didn't tell me was that they have more than just Cuban - they make arepas almost as good as my Mom does from Venezuela! Great all around experience too, the staff was friendly and bore with me being confused with everything because it was my first time there. Plus the atmosphere is inviting as well. No complaints here.

Mi Apa is a great Cuban place. I was born in Miami so I stand by their claim of 'best Cuban north of Miami'. The prices are relatively well set and the service is always fast and friendly. Don't try their drive thru during peak hours as they are always slammed. My suggestion would be to use the website and do a takeout order. Good luck on parking though as peak times have their parking lot full.

In my top 5 favorite fast casual restaurants in Gainesville......they have a drive thru to order your food or to pick up if you call ahead. They serve their food fast and it's consistently good. Portions are decent and priced well. I always get the breaded steak or grilled chicken with sweet plantains and white rice. It's delish!

Love this local gem. Great food, quick and friendly service. A wonderful place to visit if you're in town.

Honestly, I’ve been passing by this place for many years, and I wrote it off like most of the garbage you expect to find advertised on highway billboards. Boy was I ever wrong. That first bite of their pulled pork made me cry. It took me right back to Little Havana in Miami. Everything on the menu is incredible, and everything on the menu is cheap. Entire meal was ten bucks. Thank you. I will be back.
