“Wow what a surprise gem of a gas station eatery! This place was so good! You can tell they have passion for the food they make. We were told they actually cook their own turkey and roast beef, the bread is flown in from New York, and the tuna is the owners grandmas recipe. If you want to have a quick bite that is filling a delicious, definitely stop here. I will definitely be back. :) Also- you can buy key west key lime pie there too and that was so good! Made me feel like I was on vacation here in my local town gas station.”

“My family recently compared pizza from here, Bizzaro, and Oceanside. Results were pretty close, but this place came in a close third. The pie has a pretty good flavor, although some said the dough tasted like it was previously frozen. I couldn't really tell...I thought the flavor was good. Its a little heavier than Oceanside, and a little cheesier, but Oceanside had a little more zing inits tomato sauce. Definitely lighter and less cheesy than Bizzaro's. But the market was the least expensive of the three, and you really can't go wrong with a pizza from here.”

“Our go to dining when we’re on our way home from a day at the beach. We call ahead to minimize our wait when placing an order to go as they can get quite busy. We usually order a large white pizza with spinach and ricotta and a large pizza with pepperoni. While a traditional pie is always good, their white pies are exceptional. Probably the best I’ve ever had, personally. My husband isn’t a fan of veg or ricotta on pizza, and he absolutely loves their white with spinach. Our pizzas are always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Two thumbs way up from this pizza loving family. ????????????????”

I normally don't have a lot of menu choices being vegetarian, but our server said that they could leave the meat off of the tacos. They just put more mango salsa on them and they were fabulous!! “This place is awesome! Took my grandfather there for his 100th birthday dinner with a crowd of 17. The waiters were first notch. They took care of a large group exceptionally well and made several fantastic recommendations. The food was fresh and there was plenty of it. Prices are fair and what you would expect to pay for good local fish. I highly recommend this place if you can make it there. A bit tough to find as it is a small restaurant, but so much better than a large chain place. Delicious and great service!!”

“The food is amazing! The service can't get any better! My husband got a chocolate mocha cappuccino and I got a "chocolate heart cake" and a blueberry muffin. The chocolate heart was a truffle inside! It was soooo good! (Cost $5.80) The blueberry muffin was homemade and delicious and was served with softened butter on the side. ($3) My husband says the chocolate mocha was great as well!”

“I’ve been eating here several times weekly for years. The food is good, the portions are plenty, and the wait staff treats you like family. But interestingly, the thing I find the most intriguing is that tax is included in the menu price, and all prices are in $.25 increments. It shouldn’t be so remarkable, but for the longest time, Big Island was cash-only. So paying and receiving change in only quarters was a breath of fresh air. They now accept credit cards, but they have maintained the price-includes-tax and quarter-increment-only ethos. It’s so convenient that I try to evangelize the same concept to other locally-owned casual restaurants and coffee shops, and mention BIB by name when I do. But while the pricing is simple and a breath of fresh air (as well as quite low!), it’s certainly the employees that keep me coming back all the time. I live only a couple miles away, and any time I have time to spare, I like to stop in for a beer or three, even if I’m not hungry enough to order food. I’m always welcomed, and they always wave when I leave. I can’t recommend BIB enough. Truly a place where the locals hang out.”

But then I thought about it...the other servers were very attentive, and I also realized that the management took a chance on an inexperienced server, so mega-points for that.
