My first time trying this spot. All I can say is DELICIOUS pancakes with my strawberries you guys handled business and then lets not forget the amazing omelet Carlton omelet I'm at a loss of words delicious. The omelet reminded me of how we do it in the Caribbean islands. I would highly recommend this spot. Keep up the good work will diffidently order again.
In the past it would have been 5 stars and we’re very happy that you’re back with our favorite waitresses. We’ve been long-time and loyal customers and have always recommended you to our friends. After our most recent visits, we wanted to bring a few things to your attention. We’ve obviously noticed the increased prices, but recently have had several bad experiences. At a recent lunch, my soup was barely warm, the crackers were stale, the Cobb Salad had iceberg lettuce, salty blue cheese and was very different from what had been served it the past. My spouse had the crab cakes which he enjoyed, but his sweet potato fries were cold. Finally, lunch was over $40 before the tip. Hopefully, as we all return to our new normal, things will get back to normal.
The breakfast was good. Service was good too. Looks really nice inside. Orange juice was amazing.
The omelets were excellent and my son loved his waffle. It definitely feels like a hole in the wall dinner that time forgot. When we were there it mainly seemed to be repeat locals that the staff greeted like family.
My only complaint is that the home fries were completely flavorless. They looked amazing and were a great combination of crusty bits and soft interior. Sadly there was no seasoning at all.
We visited with a group of 13 people on Sunday morning and we all got seated in no time in a busy restaurant, but while we weren't all seated together we did get 3 tables to easily accommodate us. The service staff was quick to get drinks and check on us and we placed our orders in no time. The food it self was very good. It's what you'd call classic home cooking. I myself ordered the chili cheese omelet which did not disappoint and was heavy enough to last me till the night. My table ordered a wide variety as well and all said the food was good and it wasn't that expensive. $12 for a large meal and cup of coffee is fine with me. The dining room also has all sorts of decor that ranges from humorous to homey. All in all this restaurant was a pleasant surprise and one I'd definitely recommend.
