“I was walking downtown Hollywood and stopped by this pizza place not knowing whether the pizza was good or not. The slices before 5 o’clock are only $4.75, & the slices after five are only $5.25. The slices are pretty big and they’re cooked pretty quick, also they’re cooked on a stone oven which makes it even better. I would definitely recommend the spot anyone who likes stone cooked pizza. Definitely one of the best pizza spots I’ve tried in Hollywood. PS They tie up their oregano in little bags like your buying weed which makes 10X better.”

“A DISTINCTIVE DELIGHT, Krakatoa is fun, broadening and a highlight of downtown Hollywood’s eclectic dining scene. We put ourselves in the hands of one of the co-owners, who solicited our taste preferences and then made suggestions. That meant the selection was about our enjoyment more than his inventories; I liked that very much. We settled on a broad array of lamb, chicken and beef. Our platter included satay and rice. All went well with draft beer. Prices were moderate and the tables mostly full on a November 2021 Friday evening.”

“I’ve known the owner for quite some time, so when I heard he was opening up a BBQ restaurant, naturally I was excited. I decided to order a delivery to my home, and once again I was not disappointed! First off, the various rib rubs and sauces available made the choice difficult. I decided on the full rack of ribs with the Kansas City Rub, salad, along with a brisket sandwich, truffle Mac and cheese for my son. Meat-falling off the bone, tender and juicy; covered with mouthwatering sauce. Salad was as fresh and green as could be, and when I went to hunt down my sons truffle Mac and cheese, well, that was quickly gone, along with the brisket sandwich! The owners Jimmy and Chris pride themselves on good work ethic, and strive to make people feel at home in their restaurants. They employee a staff that is friendly and attentive, but the attention to detail in the food they prepare sets them apart. Well done!!”

“This place is a must! Great food, amazing vibes and the live music performances are 1 of the many reasons why we keep going back. The staff in unbelievable and attentive. Parking is never an issue because there are 2 public garage/parking lots 2 mins away from restaurant if you can't park right outside of establishment. Definitely recommend this place!”

“We had a delightful dinner on the front patio. Both entrees were superb. The lobster ravioli was rich and flavorful. The goulash (from the Romanian menu) was as flavorful as any goulash I’ve ever had. The meat had been lovingly braised for hours and it fell apart under my fork. The sauce was divine - so rich and hearty. Even the accompanying polenta was excellent-creamy and subtle. Try the pickled veggies salad - the pickled red peppers are the best pickled veggie I’ve ever had.”

“Nice area, nice restaurant, employees were pleasant. The food was as expected. The fries were better than the burger if I'm being honest. Came here after an amazing car show. Sat at the bar and ordered one drink and was asked for a card to hold on file. I visit bars regularly and have never experienced this anywhere from downtown Miami to Ft.Lauderdale so this was a bit strange for me, I probably won't go back.”

“Came by this hidden gem today! Joe was simply amazing in his suggestions and in his hospitality! I got the delicious shrimp with yellow rice and peas, whereas my partner got griot with rice and butter beans. We also got Jamaican soda in addition to our free sodas that came with our meals! They also sell pickled cabbage, jam and other delicious delicacies. Joe also provided me with some jukebox credits for me to play some free music while I wait for my food, and they have a pool table inside. Just overall great experience! This place is going to go far, and I aim to be a loyal customer from the start hehehe”

“Best Pad Thai Sushi Z I've had in the US. That's my favorite Thai dish and Thai Sushi Z nailed it- all meat was perfectly minced with fried egg on top and incredible sauce. Flavors were the most authentic I've had since living in Thailand. Everyone else out our table was similarly wow'ed by their entree. Som Tom was excellent and my first time there came with an option of raw shrimp on top. This was outstanding and came with about 7 raw shrimp. We ordered this about a 6-7 out of 10 on the spicy level. I would say that was spot on.”
