“Came across this gem while waiting for school pickup near CCHS. Kiwano - such an unusual name but it is a fruit known as the horned melon. What a refreshing cafe...husband and wife team with their very first endeavor in the food industry. Swing, hit...HOME RUN!!! Their main purpose is healthy but with a good grasp of flavor and taste! The majority of items on the menu are hand and mind created by this duo. We tried a create your own salad (romaine, ground beef, red cabbage, carrots, cukes, corn, olives, feta with tahini ginger dressing) - very large salad enough for 2 meals), Birthday Cake smoothie and a Pitaya smoothie bowl ($40). Kids thoroughly enjoyed their smoothies (note - flower is beautiful touch to an eye catching pink dragon fruit smoothie bowl, but it is non-edible). Only suggestion was more fruit and granola for the amount smoothie in the bowl. I loved my salad - the home crafted dressing was definitely the star! Friendly staff and very knowledgeable about menu and ingredients. So ask if unsure what it is in their dressings - they will know! Thanks for a great first meal! We will definitely be going back to try their Jolene (as long as it comes with the song) and Miss Mac Salads.”

“Came today for the first time and my experience was very good. This is a small location with cute decoration and great service. We order a shrimp and tenders basket with fries and a tender slider with Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was steaming hot and creamy and absolutely loved it. The chicken tenders were good but the boom boom sauce made them better, the shrimps were also good. The fries were a bit salty for my taste so next time I might order them with light seasoning. Everything was made to order and came hot. I would recommend to try.”

“Food was absolutely delicious. I tried several plates, I'll leave some photos of what was eaten. My favorite for sure was the Bao Tacos filled with crispy chicken, As well as the Octopus. The dishes were varied and the flavors definitely stood out in each dish. Peru was proudly present, mexico gave it flair, and the Asian influence was the beautiful garnish on top. The reason for the dock in stars was the manner in which the food was brought in and small portions for the price. Some people received their appetizer, entree, and more, before some received anything. It also took forever to receive any service, as no one I dined with received a refill till way after we finished our food, it was hard to grab the attention of the waiters. To be fair it seemed they were understaffed in that aspect. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and likeable. The staff was also very kind and energetic.”

“This place is located in a mall which I am very familiar with. This place opened up soon after the previous restaurant went out of business, so I know I need to come by and give my support to local businesses. My wife and I arrived right after they opened the door at 11:30 am. I immediately decided I am going to get the fried shrimp with fries platter. My shrimp came out very tasty. The shrimp were nicely fried, and my fries were very crispy. I especially enjoyed the dipping sauce on the side because it was spicy with a little bit of a kick to it. The place was neat and clean. The gentlemen who took my order also prepared the food for us. I can see him working hard and cooking our orders diligently. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My wife and I will come back for more!”
