Either way, the store is normally clean and fountain drinks are filled and good when they are not out of order due to water issues. Breakfast sandwiches are gone early in the morning so you better get there early. The doughnuts, hot dogs and peanuts are usually full.”

“Great location and views with a nice menu selection specializing in seafood. Our meals were very good with large portions. Our server was friendly and professional but the same could not be said of the hostess. When I approached to ask for a table, she turned around to get menus but didn't say anything. After about thirty seconds, a second hostess said we would have to wait a bit to see what was available outside, which is where I asked to be seated. We were then seated at a table away from the railing that overlooks the water even though there were open tables along the railing. We were the only party seated away from the railing. I didn't make an issue of it but I did wonder what was the rationale.”

“Wow, this place is great. Incredibly friendly service and the food was cooked perfect and there was plenty of it. I truly felt that I got my moneys worth. I had bangers and mash and the bangers were very authentic. The black and tan beer was a proper black and tan poured perfectly. Nothing worse then a black and tan not poured right. I was dining alone so I ate at the bar and both the bartender and waitress working that shift were fantastic. It was very busy but you wouldn't have known it by the service I received. The place was very clean, including the bathrooms. This place made you feel welcome and I can't wait to go back.”

“I went to a lecture with dinner hosted here. I arrived late, which was already expected by our hosts, and the almost full table was enjoying wine and icy cold glasses of water fancily placed with small plates of bread. I had a plate of bread, but no drink. I was never brought a drink, even when I asked. I ordered the butternut-pear soup, organic baby greens salad, duck with potatoes and green beans, and cheesecake. I received potato-leek soup; not what I ordered but I savored every single bite. The salad was crisp and tasty with creamy goat cheese and crunchy focaccia croutons. A helpful waiter explained that the chef recommended the duck at medium-rare to medium, I requested medium; the leg (?) was cooked to order, but the tenderloin (?) was so raw and chewy. The cheesecake was conveniently served in a to-go-box, as I'd already boxed up my leftover duck. I enjoyed the cheesecake later, at home. I indulged myself with each delectable bite; it was divine! I can't attest to pricing, but I presume to say above average due to the atmosphere and high-end serving style. Excellent place for a special occasion.”
