The essential Gulf Coast waterway dining experience, right down to the roll of paper towels at the table for all the sauce i had on my hands and the Cajun busboy. Make sure you stop here if you're traveling through and don't forget your skeeter spray! Friendly staff, lively open atmosphere, dine in or sit out at the pontoon dock. Plenty of parking outside and lots of tables for large groups. I had a big plate of shrimp and a bucket of brews with a friend, and I'm definitely returning to try their other offerings. Five Central Florida stars!
We had to use our GPS to find this place and still weren't sure that we had found it when we got there. The menu is fairly limited, but the food is excellent. Added bonus is that the food and drink prices are relatively cheap.
My wife and I had a glass of wine, a glass of beer, a cup of clam chowder, and a half order of steamed shrimp (1.25#) all for less than$20. Did I mention that the food is excellent?
Excellent seafood and the prices were pretty good. You can bring your own seating if you'd like. I recommend having that option in mind as seating can run out fast. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We love visiting the Freezer when we are in the area! Their fresh seafood, chicken wings and steak can't be beat! You won't find fresh seafood for a better price... Unless you cook it yourself. A couple of our favorites are the crab legs, shrimp and stone crab claws. The environment is a bit shabby, but the food certainly makes up for it.
We visited this place, with some guests from up north, because we had heard incredible things about it. My opinion is that the things I heard were overrated. I'm giving them 3 stars because the food was very good. We got shrimp...because shrimp is the main thing that they offer. I've often said that the way my wife and I determine how much we like a business, is by our desire to return. So, the question becomes, would I go back? The answer is, yes...if I happen to be in the area, if I happen to be in the mood for shrimp, specifically.
If I were to break it down...
1. Food taste and quality...5 stars
2. Selection ...3 stars
3. Ambiance...2 stars
4. Service...3 stars
5. Convenience...2 stars(unless you live within a few miles)
