Shed

Address: 5300 S Cherokee Way, Homosassa, FL 34448, USA

Restaurant

“I’ve been going to this place for the last six years. I go every Friday for wings but my last experience I had was unfortunate. Now I know there’s rules and laws about alcohol and people bringing alcohol purchased at other places. When you get rid of my favorite draft beer and you offer to get it from the Bait house that is very nice! So when I decide to save them the trouble and go to the bait house and pick it up Myself with receipt in hand showing where I bought it, and then get reprimanded by the bartender even though I had a receipt from buying it from them, you shouldn’t have to feel humiliated in front of everybody at the bar and be scolded like a child. Even the guys at the bait house said it was OK! Then to be told that locals are going to be barred from the Shed if they keep bringing their own alcohol. Granted I understand this must be a problem and you’re in the business of making money but … I bought it right there! Needless to say I was sad and embarrassed because I love this place and I’d hate to stop going just because I’m getting treated as the so-called “ locals“ that want to break the rules! I’m far from that and I’ve never had a problem before. I didn’t think buying it from the bait house was bad. She should’ve just charged me the difference for a bucket and a cup and I would’ve been happy to pay it! Gator if you read this not all locals are bad and break the rules. When they’re seasons of downtime and not Scallop season or fishing tournaments, the locals are what keeps you guys going!”

Breakfast Station

Address: 7781 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34448, USA

Restaurant

“We arrived on a very busy Sunday morning. The staff greeted us immediately and was very friendly. We had a short wait, then we were seated and soon after we promptly were served our coffee and our order was taken. Our server was friendly and helpful in offering advice as to what to order. Our food arrived quickly and was fresh, and hot. I ordered the vegetable omelette with cheese. I was somewhat disappointed with the type and amount of vegetables in the omelette. I also generally have my vegetables inside my omelette with my cheese, rather than cooked with the eggs. There were very few vegetables as well. The omelette was light and fluffy, I just like vegetables. The hash browns were excellent. My husband ordered the eggs with sausage with biscuits and gravy. He enjoyed the eggs, and the sausage was average. He also enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, being from Kansas, (having had his fair share of biscuits and gravy) he gave the biscuits and gravy an okay. He said, that they weren't his best, but pretty good. Our coffee cups never had a chance to go empty. The service was great.”

It seemed as if this is a family owned restaurant with all family members cooking and serving. Make sure to make the Grumpy Gator your lunch stop when you are in the Homossassa springs area.”

The Freezer Tiki Bar

Address: 5590 S Boulevard Dr, Homosassa, FL 34448, USA

Restaurant

“We love visiting the Freezer when we are in the area! Their fresh seafood, chicken wings and steak can't be beat! You won't find fresh seafood for a better price... Unless you cook it yourself. A couple of our favorites are the crab legs, shrimp and stone crab claws. The environment is a bit shabby, but the food certainly makes up for it.”
