“If you're looking for the best authentic Beijing (Peking) duck in SWFL, Omei is your place! Their juicy and flavorful duck has crispy skin that pairs perfectly with the sliced scallions and cucumbers, topped with the sweet Peking duck sauce to create the yummiest duck "burrito" with each bite! I also love ordering their hot and sour seafood soup with shrimp, scallops and crab meat and their string beans are both crispy and tender. Restaurant and bar area is very clean and it is a very nice atmosphere with an outdoor patio. There are plenty of tables set up to enjoy the weather. The bar area even has garage doors that stay up when it is nice out to sit and enjoy the weather as well. Margaritas at happy hour are very good also!”

“Heard about this place from a local. Chef Clay was so welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. The shrimp Poboy was the best I have ever eaten. The fries were fresh cut and portion sizes were bountiful. Clay came over and talked with us. He even cooked up some of his ricotta doughnuts that melted in our mouths. He not only is an amazing chef but so personable. Inside the marathon gas station, you want to make sure you stop in for the food.”

“We decided to check out the Rod And gun Club for a weekend. We love historical buildings and Florida history. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed looking around the lodge at all of the fishing and hunting memorabilia. The lodge hours our odd at best - but sitting on the screened in veranda for lunch and cocktails in the evening overlooking the water, made up for it! We will definitely be back! The buildings definitely need some TLC between hurricanes and the Everglades Environment. We hope the owners will hang onto this beautiful piece of Florida history.”

“This was a lunch stop for the Everglades excursion we were on and very well worth the stop. I ordered the basket of buffalo gator bites with fries. I didn't get a picture of the food because after one bite I didn't stop. They were breaded with buffalo sauce in breading and deep fried. Very tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this as something to try. I bought a slice of Key-lime pie with as far south as we were and most places in Florida that sell Key-lime pie don't use real Key limes. Hers is a recipe she created and it's perfect. Just the right balance of sweet and tart. Great place to eat.”

The only criticism was 2 in our party had the triple tail dinner which was good, except the rice was not hot. Also, be aware that there is no social distancing at any bar in South Florida. However, the tables were well spaced and outside. I would recommend this place and we plan to return.”

“Atmosphere—check. View—check. Food—holy moly delicious check! Service—needs work. The interior transformation is really nice—I’d personally take out the center row of tables, tho. The view of the bay and sunset were gorgeous and can’t wait for cooler weather to dine outside (they are currently seating both inside and outside). The menu is solid Italian and in the $25-$50 range for entres. Grilled calamari, lobster ravioli, and sea bass special were all fabulous!!!!! Wine menu is decent but our first glass of white was served at room temp. I understand this is a new restaurant and the staff is figuring out the bugs, but a little friendliness would go a long way—zero warmth from anyone! I will certainly go again because the food is amazing, but if I have the same attitude from the staff, sadly, I probably will not return for a third try...”
