Joe's Crab Shack

Can't beat the $25 birthday certificate to use at Joe's Crab shack from The Landry's group. Since it was for the birthday dinner we splurged on the king crab and have to admit they were probably the best king crab we have ever purchased there. Great atmosphere and right on the beach.

Visiting from East Tennessee and we enjoyed our visit here but it took a long time once we sat down at our table. It took over two hours and we were seated as soon as we arrived, so it wasn't that reason. Our waitress was really nice but so busy it took forever. But we liked our food and the waitress made it fun for us. It had a great vacation vibe.

The food was amazing. The staff there were friendly and kept people laughing and smiling. They interacted with everyone. Bathrooms were clean. That is a huge must.. What was really nice was it is right on the beach..

Ari waited on us, the service was genuinely great! He made sure we had everything we needed before our food even arrived. Drinks were always kept full. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! Nice size shrimp and crab legs. Before we left my husband asked for a togo cup of water, he walked out without it. Ari was so considerate he brought it out to him! All around lovely experience. Great job Joe's!

We called on the way to check what the wait was like. They said about 10 minutes. Odd for 6:30pm on a Saturday night, but cool. Turned out that just before we walked in, about "40 people" suddenly showed up and the wait had become 40 minutes. We decided to hang out and were seated about 30 minutes later.

After that, everything else was pretty smooth. Our server, Karlee, was quick and very attentive. The food came out quickly. She checked in often.

The food was pretty good. The ambience was better. They played throwback music and the staff even had a choreographed dance to Car Wash.
