Chancho King

I'll be coming back here again. This place had great tasting food and decently priced. The service was helpful and relatively quick. Beer selection was good too, a few local beers on tap which is always welcomed.

The chicken dish was super flavorful; savory and that sauce mixed with the rice was awesome.

The pork was not dry and had a great taste. Loved the chicharrones as well. It was all a hit!

Still outstanding! I get something different each time I go and it's always delicious.

Outstanding! The type of place that needs 6 stars imo.

Great people who are passionate about creating the best dishes. I had the empanadas and the roast pork rice bowl add an over easy egg on top. So delicious. And had a nice conversation with several of the staff, and got to try a little house made pancetta. Jeez.

Cons: their hours can be wonky for some that may try to come visit from outside the area, but I think those are even more standard now compared to just a few months ago. Call before you head down even if Google maps says they are open. Parking is a little tricky, but park off the side street that's just north of the restaurant off Edgewood.

But ignore my cons because the food and friendly people are well worth multiple visits. I started eating before taking pics, sorry about that lol. 🙂

*THE* best ceviche in Jax, with three different base options — all delicious. The staff is so friendly! Locally owned and the business is super involved in the community. On my most recent visit I had the octopus special and it was almost a religious experience. Their shop has a cute rustic outdoor patio in the back, perfect on good weather days. Can’t say enough good things about Chancho King!

Chancho King is bringing it all to the table. The overwhelming quality would be more than enough for a visit but the amount of sandwich and apps you can get VS the affordable pricing make it a must visit. Signature pork sandwich with egg add on below was only $8 dollars. We got the weekly flavored empenadas (leek and cheese) but finished them off before we could get a pic. Definitely recommend a visit

These guys did it again!
We went two days in a row, lol... It was that good. We went on Sunday and Monday for lunch. I love Ecuadorian food since I am from Ecuador. Everything was so delicious made just perfect for this Ecuadorian girl. The atmosphere is great. The owners are amazing people too, so humble. We've known them since they had the tent, and it is still soooo good!!!
