Starving Like Marvin

Food was fresh, plentiful and delicious.
Restaurant was immaculate and tables were cleaned and sanitized immediately after use. Menu was posted and easy to decipher.
Mrs. Hearman greeted every guest and regular with a warm smile,and a welcoming demeanor. After my order was taken I spent a few minutes watching football and enjoying the friendly banter that went along with it. Great food, atmosphere and customer service!

I had the shrimp and oyster combo and added scallops with okra, and I highly recommend!

The customer service is phenomenal!! The seafood is fresh. I ordered the red snapper and shrimp. My StarSeed couldn't decide so I got her the fish sandwich w/o bones and buffalo wings. We ordered alot and was stuffed for the rest of the day!
Oooh and and did I say it's a Black Own business whoot! Whoot! Make sure you check them out!

Visited Starvin Like Marvin and did not disappoint. I heard great things so I had to try for myself. I bought the snapper/shrimp combination. The snapper was huge (was my blessed and lucky day to get this size snapper). The seasonings were on point. Every carving on the snapper had seasonings which is a definite plus in my book. (Unseasoned fish in its entirety is no good) just my opinion. The shrimp were big and also seasoned and fried to perfection. The one flaw in my humble opinion is that the gills were still in the whole fried fish. Marvin, the entire head is good to eat except the gills. Maybe you can work on that? Besides that I enjoyed everything to the fullest and will definitely be back.

OMG!!! I cannot believe how fresh, well seasoned, and delicious my whiting, oysters and shrimp are. I was looking for a Black owned restaurant to patronize during my time in Jacksonville. I’m so happy I found this place.
Food takes a while because they have to descale the fish; it’s fresh, so it’s welll worth the wait.
Customer service is impeccable. BTW, Marvin you handled that rude customer accordingly 🤣!

Came here a little after lunch. It’s located in the downstairs portion of a condo. The staff was friendly. The food was very delicious. I ordered their fried chicken with French fries. It came with a bun. The chicken was perfectly fried and perfectly crispy. The fries were very good too. I haven’t tried their seafood but they have a lot of it on their menu. I would definitely come here again.
