The Fish House

A seemingly timeless eatery. A lot of famous folks have come here..the grits are crazy good and the fish is cooked very well. It's not very hip or new or particularly 'nice'. But the outdoor seating made things better. The food is solid and the staff is friendly. Older folks would like this place a lot. Younger folks maybe won't pick this place as a place to eat. A lot of history here for sure.

We had been here a few years ago. It was good then and it is still good now!! We tried the Shrimp and Grits Ya Ya!! That was simply delicious!! Next time we are in the area, we will make a point of enjoying it again. If you want a great meal, we recommend that you get a bite to eat here.

Holy wow! The experience here from the beginning to the end was phenomenal. The absolute angel of a lady who was in the gift shop not only helped us get in line to be seated but also gave us amazing suggestions for the rest of our trip. I wish we had got her name. She was great.

We got the grouper and the shrimp and grits. It was heaven. Best meal of the trip. I think our trip peaked here. Cheers to you all!

Everyone at our table of four was blown away by the quality and Shear Artistry of the food and the presentation here. The crab stuffed flounder with an absolute work of art. I tend to judge a higher-end seafood place here in the Panhandle by their fish tacos. Usually they make it clear to only give it a 4 out of 5 Stars effort. I think they do this to steer you towards the more expensive items. Here at the fish house, the fish tacos are a solid home run, and absolutely will not disappoint. The portion size on these left myself, a big eater, not able to eat even another bite. All four of the plates, resulted in each of us taking a picture before we took our first bite. Although not inexpensive, they are not to be missed under any circumstances. And The View with a lot of water as if all this was not enough, every table has a magnificent view of the water. Our server Alexa was great so nice and great customer service. Food was good,even though my husband didn't like his choice of food that night they didn't even charge him fir the meal. The manager even came out too see if he could fix him anything else. Which was phenomenal too us spoke volumes about this restaurant. Great experience here.
