Wayne's Family Diner

As a starter, we had fried green tomatoes and fried cheese sticks. They were both great. The tomatoes had a light and crispy coating and were delicious. We also had the country fried steak and it was hot and delicious. The only disappointment to our meal, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was that the sides were not hot. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were room temperature - to cool. The "just out of the oven" muffins were very tasty but not "just out of the oven". I'll say this though, we arrived 30 minutes before closing so ? would that account for the cool sides? We'd give it another try. It's a fun, clean and different dining atmosphere, the music is retro cool and the service is great.

We were visiting from New Orleans. We were starving and saw this cute diner not far from the hotel. The food was pretty good. However, I'm from Louisiana and I don't play when it comes to a good seafood platter. The shrimp, hushpuppies and fries were delicious. I was expecting a catfish filet, instead I was given catfish nuggets. In which, I'm not a fan of because of the bitterness it gives off. Our waitress was friendly and the establishment was very clean!

Great service! Very welcoming and definitely has the 50's feel. The food was tasty and portions were generous.
Laurie was very friendly. Definitely a hidden gem in Pensacola! Will be back when on family trips to the beach.

We were passing through Pensacola on our way from Arizona to Orlando and had stopped for the night at a local hotel next to Wayne’s. We ordered two, to go meals to bring back to our room. While we waited we noticed how clean Wayne’s diner is and our waitress was super friendly and very attentive! The meal we ordered was delicious! If we ever come this way again, Wayne’s it is!

Absolutely love Wayne’s Family Diner!!! My whole family loves this place. The food is delicious and fresh. The service is wonderful and the restaurant very clean and tidy but homey at the same time. I actually live 7 hours away but make sure to hit this diner every time I’m in town. They have something for everyone here. Just try it!
