“I will start by saying that I'm a bigger guy from Kansas City. I know my barbecue. This place is amazing. Literally the only place down here and that makes me feel like home. The ribs were meaty and tinder, the pulled pork was juicy, the chicken had an amazing flavor, and don't even get me started on the brisket. Not unless pigs fly and they have nothing left to smoke, you will not be disappointed.”

“This place is a very nice, cozy spot. My friends and I had the grilled pork schnitzel for lunch and it was wonderful. Prices are a little high for what we got, but very tasty. Service was wonderful. We were disappointed that we couldn't linger longer in the restaurant, but the lodge personnel allowed us to sit and visit on the patio before moving inside the lodge lobby.”

“I've lived in the Jackson County area my entire life but never knew this place existed until recently! It's very subtle on the outside but the decor on the inside is AMAZING. It has a very rustic feel, and is very warm and welcoming. The waitress was super personable too! She complimented my hair and we conversed about the curly hair struggle.(It's a tough one). The food was delicious! I had the philly sub for my entree. But I didn't get to eat it all because I filled up on their mouth-watering garlic bread and Manhattan Clam Soup! Definitely will be back!”
