“Another hidden gem in Sunset! I visited this restaurant for dinner with my wife last Friday since we were in the mood for a quick bite of food. I made the reservation with OpenTable and drove to the place from home. Kalimera is located on 71st St. There is plenty of parking near that you can choose from (make sure you have the PayByPhone app installed to make it even easier). We were greeted by Khaled who ushered us to our table, he gave his recommendations and brought us drinks. We decided to order the Kalimera Trio as the appetizer, we shared the grilled lamb, and the Kabab combo beef. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh, I am definitely returning with family and friends.”

“Stumbled across this place during the south miami art festival today looking for a cool smoothie and our smoothies were sooooo good! They have an interesting menu of smoothies, small healthy bowls and juices, the place smells amazing, staff are so sweet and welcoming. It’s extremely clean as well. I had an expresso smoothie with peanut butter added on that was amazing, also had a mango smoothie and a dragon fruit smoothie that were so refreshing. Will be back!”

“It’s good but not what I expected. Perhaps I was expecting too much? Pasta was certainly made in-house and it’s evident in the texture. The sauce was well rounded and presentation is OK. Serving portion is a tad small especially for people who come in hungry. We weren’t famish so it’s fine for me. Staff were welcoming and accommodating despite no bookings during peak hour. There’s limited seats in/outside so it’s probably best to book ahead for larger groups. Pity there’s no kids menu, otherwise we would dine there regularly.”

“I'm always seeking out Lebanese restaurants and checking out their "chef'n" since I've been around the global block per say and sure do know my Lebanese cuisine. The food I ordered here had a particular homemade flavor that is found in some of Beirut's areas and I find that preferable to many other restaurants in Florida which I've visited that instead have a commercial taste to the food you order. “The food was really good! It was interesting because you just go in and order from the table so there isn't much "service". However, when they do come they are really nice. I had the Pork Belly Bibimbap and it tasted REALLY good! I wish they had labels on the table to say what the sauces in the middle were, as we weren't exactly sure. The atmosphere was very chill and it is really cool inside. The food presentation was better before I took the picture but I had already started eating before I remembered to photograph it.”

“The food was great but apparently my friend ordered a hamburger with only cheese and the burger was sent without the cheese when we ask why the burger was sent without the cheese they went back to the kitchen and brought cold cheese so we decided to call the manager and she came to our table so instead of given us some percentage of a disc she offer my friend dessert without asking if we wanted dessert or something else. So it was like they made a mistake so dessert will erase what they did wrong. My friend was not happy so the owner came to our table and ask what happened so he decided to listen and instead my friend decided to get a soup so everyone was happy. I'm giving Root & Bone 3 stars based on price and speed of service. Our waiter was the only person working the floor and was completely swamped. Not his fault and most businesses these days are understaffed. Service was good otherwise. Price was a bit much as well. ANYWAYS. Let's end this review on a high note. I highly recommend "Grandma Daisy's Angel Biscuits". Best biscuits I've ever had. Bar none. Didn't need any sort of sauce either. Made just right! I also had the INCREDIBLE "Root and Bone Cheeseburger", which consisted of brisket, a blend of chuck and short rib. Man I really did not want to stop eating that burger. Come here for the food, but bring your patience”

“My wife and I are from China. We love hotpot and we have eaten at a lot of famous Chinese restaurants in the US. Cook Cook Hotpot Buffet is one of the best. The food is authentic and delicious. “I have been a customer of this establishment for probably over 20 years. I have of course seen many changes in both the staff, the management, and mostly the attitudes of the employees. Although for the most part there are a few very respectful, kind, and attentive staff members, there are also a few who could absolutely use some additional training and/or personality adjustments. If I'm going to bring my friends, and all of our hard earned money to spend at any bar, I expect to at least feel welcomed and treated kindly. When I try to talk to management about it, I usually just get shuffled off to the side as if my opinion doesn't matter. Maybe to them my one little opinion doesn't matter but it should. I grew up in this town and I know many people, not only in the bar business but all around this city and I can very easily take them to any other bar or restaurant and not go to this place to spend my hard earned money. As well they have absolutely upped their prices to a point that some people don't want to go there because they're just too expensive. We're not on Miami Beach and the drinks should not be costing $10 or $11 a pop, without tip! That is just ridiculous. I'm sure there are other establishments in the South Miami area who would care to listen to a customer such as myself not only to keep my business but to teach the employees what should and shouldn't be done when it comes to their customers! So my opinion is that there are other places to go spend your money and enjoy a great time in South Miami without necessarily having to go to this bar. If management happens to read this and would like to reach out and actually get my opinion and hear what I have to say I will be more than happy to share it with them.”
