South of the Seven

Had dinner since we stayed next door at the motel. After seeing the motel we were concerned but the entire experience was tremendous. My fillet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare and came with blue cheese sauce and a red wine reduction that made the flavor outstanding.

A friend recommended this hidden treasure as he described thi place, Was visiting family and told them to pick a place- was sonexcited when we pulled up here, it was carma. Everything exceed my expectations. Highly recommend this place

We dined here this past week and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Drove up from Stockton and we were not disappointed. One of the few finer dining restaurants in the area in our opinion. However, not only was the food delicious, but the service was outstanding. Everyone who works in the restaurant was very kind and welcoming. We will be back next time we vacation in the Keys!

The restaurant is feet away from our room, so it is very convenient. The servers were amazing and very attentive. They brought us out a sample taste of potato scallion soup from the Chef and Oh My Goodness it was to die for.. soo good.....Hubby had the Tuna poke. The tuna was fresh, firm and flavorful, while some of the rice was a bit dry. The avocado was delish....I had the duck wings which was overcooked and dry, but it had some flavors when you used the dipping sauce. We also had the French onion soup small portion but was flavorful.

Remarkable dinner experience. Charming 70’s style building nestled between a small hotel and marina. The marquis sign is not prominent so drive slowly or you may pass by. As soon as you walk in you’ll know this place is unlike many others in A1A.
The atmosphere and decorating with local images and fishing celebrities is worth seeing.
The food and service are the real stars of the show.
The Thai Styled Fried whole fish is an experience. The fish is so light and flaky, you would not know it is fried. The Chef/owner sent a complimentary black bean and tomato soup to our table. I gotta figure out how to make this!
We had one of the few patio tables and caught the last light of a sunset. That’s a million dollar view. Cool breeze and extraordinary service will have us coming back every time we visit the Keys.
The Peach Cobbler and ice cream is TD4 ( to die for).
If there is a wait, don’t leave, it’s worth it!
