Mother Earth's Cafe

Found this wonderful little gem from a Google search as we looked for a place for breakfast. When we travel, we try to only eat at local restaurants. Mother Earth's did NOT disappoint! Everything we ate was excellent! So good, in fact, that we ate here everyday that we were in Shalimar, visiting our mother. The place is small and homey, and even the other patrons were warm and friendly. The catfish special on Fridays is not to be missed - even if you don't normally eat catfish, you'll be sure to like this! And to top it off, the service is FANTASTIC. Our server, Miss Tonya, was the best EVER! We loved her! We will eat here every time we visit Shalimar. Give them a try; you'll be glad you did.

We had the sweetest waitress today. We came in for a late breakfast/early lunch. I could not make up my mind and she was extremely patient with me. Ha ha. I had to turn up greens, squash, cornbread and hamburger patty. It was delicious. I will go back.

Friendly staff and decent food. That's about the extent of the positive qualities. The price did not match the quality or quantity of food. The food came out relatively quick, but the time it took for my one drink refill and to get my bill was unreasonable. Also, the dining atmosphere could use some work.
