Stewby's Seafood Shanty

Don't let the line out the door deter you from this fantastic restaurant. The food is ordered and picked up at the window inside so the wait isn't bad at all.

Everything from the unbelievably friendly staff to the delicious food is amazing.
We had a group of 8 and nothing but smiles from everyone.

Stewby's was recommended to us by a local and now I'm recommending it to you... you won't be disappointed.

Some of the best potato salad, fries, hush puppies I’ve ever had… And those are just the sides that come with your entree! We ordered the grilled amberjack fish of the day and seafood gumbo, both were delicious. Friendly staff, plenty of seating inside and out. It can get busy quickly, so go early to beat the crowd, especially on weekends. Their market next door is also great for fresh local seafood. Very cost effective too.

First off, Florida restaurants are horribly overrated and ridiculously over priced especially considering the limited distance to their supply. I can't tell you how many times I've walked into an overpriced Florida seafood restaurant and wished I was eating at a Red Lobster back home, at least I'd have some tasty biscuits.

Stewby's on the other hand is acceptably priced fresh seafood that never disappoints, except for the frozen grouper pieces only available fried. They do have fresh grouper when available... The sides are tasty and the grill seasoning is delicious and available in their shop. Fried stuff is always good. I never miss a visit whenever I'm in the area.

Best seafood we found on our vacation. I loved the combo steamer at the market. The first night on the island we ordered a lb and it was incredible. I ordered another lb a few days later and brought it back to the condo to eat. They don't have any tools for the crab legs so you have to work at getting some of the legs out. My husband loved the fried oyster samich. I loved it so much I bought a t-shirt! Will miss this place until we go back.

Great Seafood, came here and had a really nice meal for the first day in town with my wife. The key lime pie that they have is fantastic and has a nice thick handmade buttery crust on it. The shrimp were delicious but coming from New Mexico the hot was not very hot. The people were super friendly and treated us well. Sat down with a couple of other veterans and had a nice conversation while we all ate.
