“My gal promised me ice cream, and she wanted to take me to something original, but with great ice cream too. We settled on Proper. We drove up to Delray and walked over. It wasn't hard to spot, it had a simple oval sign out front that almost beckoned to the treats inside. We came on a blazing hot day, but it was a little late so there was almost no line inside. I looked for the options and realized the flavored cones were on display but the ice cream wasn't. I'm not sure the reasoning behind it, but I think they missed out that ice cream people are visual besides just taste. Picking from the colors and textures from the freezer is part of the fun. We were given a placarded list to choose from. Some flavors just had a vague name like "Elvis". I asked to try a couple so I would have a clue what they were about. I settled on a couple flavors for my 2 scoop; a butter & cream and a chocolate brownie concoction. Once prepared, they added on top a poured hot brownie ganache. After she got her carrot cake ice cream we grab a bench on the main street and people watched. It was all pretty perfect. Looking back the only flaws were the price point seemed extra high and not seeing the ice cream displayed to choose from was a little odd. But Proper Ice cream is dang good ice cream.”

“Have been there multiple times both forgetting prescriptions and find their prices extremely competitive. Also enjoy all the friendly help in the pharmacy. Also have been many times do Foxworth Fountain. Highly recommend it. They're avocado toast is outstanding. Their Belgian waffles are outstanding. And I thought their coffee, which is organic French roast, which would not be my first choice, was over the top. And, very friendly, outgoing and my compliments to the entire staff. A place I will definitely be visiting again in the future. I also understand that their curry chicken salad for lunch is out of this world. Can't go back soon enough to try on my own.”

“If you're gluten free and/or vegan this is the place to go for breakfast sweets in Delray! The GF/V tart and blueberry scones are delightful. The coffee beans are roasted on site (with no additives) so the coffee is as fresh and smooth as can be. Great atmosphere and friendly staff make this a one-of-a-kind experience for those with specific dietary requirements!”

“Their sushi was really good! And the atmosphere was great. Our server also did an amazing job, he was in training and was fantastic. I had an amazing Mai Tai there as well, almost as good as Death or Glory down the street!”

“This establishment is well managed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is great. One advice I’d like to share to management: Keep up the great work, be consistent with your service and maintain the same quality ( or better) of your products. After dining in literally hundreds of restaurants throughout South Florida, I have witnessed restaurants that start off with great products at the beginning, end up with less than mediocre food as the years go by. They eventually close and open up under a different name.”

“There wasn't a down moment. From my perfect Manhattan, Wine, delicious ice berg wedge with huge bacon chunks and creamy blue cheese, perfectly cooked NY Strip, stacked onion rings, spinach, floorless chocolate cake and rich pressed coffee. Service was friendly and solicitous but without being over the top weird. Really enjoyed. Only minor issue was original table was in a busy aisle. Not ideal, especially with obvious better tables available. Made a minor complaint and promptly seated in a booth. A must for 4. Looking forward to going back.”

“I go here for their bean burger and fries. I love that they have an outside sitting area to sit, eat and people watch. It is located in downtown Delray. You can usually sit and start conversations with random people. The staff here is nice.”

“This place just gets it right. Hands down, best variation and taste of mussels in Florida and perhaps the US. We also had some fish selections. My wife thought her mahi was the best she ever had. There is a cool New England vibe to the place and the service and decor was superb. Friendly and professional but never overbearing. Fantastic”

“My favorite pizza! My son asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday. It had been awhile since I had this delicious pizza and so I selected this Anthony's location in Delray Beach. My first time at this location. I had the pizza and everyone else had their favorite. Service was excellent. Our waiter (Luca) surprised me with the cannoli birthday desert tray which was amazing. For a chain restaurant, Anthony's is consistent with their food but more important the servers and managers never cease to amaze me. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!”

“Neat decor with a rock artist/album theme. The food is the usual excellent Mellow Mushroom comfort food/Pizza. Be sure to order the pretzel bites with beer cheese dipping sauce! A note on the staff; I'm used to great service at MM, this locations staff exceeded expectations for service and friendliness,. Even though it was our first time at this location, or server made us feel like old friends.”

“Came here with my boyfriend and another couple on Saturday night. Patty was our server and she couldn't have been better. We wanted to try different drinks and her suggestions were spot on as well as the appetizers. Our dinners were fantastic and Patty surprised me with a birthday desert and sang happy birthday. Very pretty atmosphere and loved being on the water!. Was a memorable birthday!”

“This place is by far my favorite breakfast / coffee shop. They serve real, tasteful coffee not cheap overpriced beans. The food, being it's a small artisan place is so delicious, and taste fresh all the time. Definitely a small hole in the wall, real authentic type of place to go relax and enjoy food and coffee the way it should be. I recommend anyone who wants a different experience to go.”

“Nice ultra casual all-outside tables with owners and knowledgeable waiters giving great service. Canopy over most tables in the event of rain. Not at all fancy but surprisingly relaxing and enjoyable. Maybe there needs to be a category for that. A good deal is parking available either on the street or in a free lot behind the restaurant. Good food, good service, and affordable.”

“Just the best spot. Out of the way just slightly, good beer, good food and good company. Neat atmosphere and a good evening every time. This is not even to mention how hard it is finding good British food in South Florida .. their fish and chips* are amazing, and the style distinctly British”

“Let me start by saying that Trista (server) is simply amazing! The restaurant was quite busy during my visit, but Trista took the time to explain the menu, explain the drink specials, and genuinely took the time to get to know my table as guests. It was an exceptionally welcoming experience. Even with a very busy restaurant, we never felt neglected or rushed. At one point we didn't know what drink to purchase. After a bit of conversation, she was able to effortlessly recommend a pretty tasty whisky drink for myself and vodka drink for my guest. When one of the drinks came out a little off-tasting, Trista was exceptionally quick about finding a solution that left me quite happy. She is truly a magnificent waitress. The restaurant itself could use some updating -- scratches and marks on the walls and simple things of the sort. But the food it quite tasty and the overall vibe of the location is laid back. Be warned, as many patrons mentioned, the restaurant does stay quite busy, BUT the food and drinks both come out quite quickly. I was wary about the Calamari, but it was surprisingly good! Sunday was my first time visiting, but I will most definitely be back in the very near future.”

“Absolutely amazing authentic Greek cuisine. If you have not tried this place and you're a fan of Greek or even if you're not a fan this place kid help persuade your taste buds. The atmosphere is just as you'd want it, cozy and quaint. The place is also large enough for a big party. The staff is all very nice and kind. And the owner Brad is a real stand up guy. I highly recommend to Taverna Trela”
