Away from the tourist area, this sushi restaurant was rather ordinary. The sushi was unoffensive but not particularly innovative or delicious. The shrimp and vegetable tempura had battered shrimp instead of tempura. Service was prompt and courteous. The venue was very busy with people lined up by the time we left. Prices were affordable and commensurate with quality.

Best sushi in St. Petersburg. I would give 5 stars if they were consistent on the rolls and baked green mussels. When they are on point, there is nothing to compare!

This is a really good sushi spot, but is not especially vegetarian and vegan friendly. There is no veggie roll on the menu, and not a lot you can make a veggie roll out of. I really, really suggest adding a tofu roll to the menu. When I was vegetarian, I would make up my own roll with veggies and cream cheese. Now that I am vegan, there's not a lot to make a veggie roll with here. So instead, I go to Umai Sushi in Clearwater for a really good tofu roll. In an area like St. Pete, I think a tofu roll would go over well. Other than that, I always had decent service and the food always tasted fresh and well-prepared.

I arrived on Friday evening and enjoyed a Japanese beer while waiting for a friend. Our hostess and waiter were very friendly. Our waiter was patient, helpful, and offered to answer any questions we had. I've never eaten sushi with spinach before until my visit here. I was impressed with the taste, freshness, and presentation of the sushi. This was my second visit here and I would definitely come back the next time I am in the area.
