“Was so good!! We’re in the neighborhood and had to try it! We got vegetable dumplings which I was so excited to try, and my boyfriend got pork belly buns to start. They were absolutely delicious and the buns were super soft! Best pad Thai I’ve had in the area and the lobster risotto was so cheesy and good! “Had a wonderful late night dinner here last night, and everything was exceptional! Starting from the hostess who was so sweet, we did not have reservations, but she was able to give us the choice of our ideal seating preference. Our server was attentive, and very kind. I had the arrancini, gnocchi, and a lovely sangria - it was perfection! Love all the gnocchi choices, and everything was perfectly portioned. Can not wait to go back to try more!”

“The fried green tomatoes were DELICIOUS. brisket was great, no knives needed for any of it. My dude got the plate of 3 and said the only average thing were the ribs, still good but not as fall off the bone as he'd hoped. Everything else was great. He enjoyed the sweet potato tots and Mac n cheese. I didn't have enough space to try my sides, broccoli and collards, well update when I do. Another bonus is the fast take out/ pick up drive thru. Everything was still nice and hot when we got home, especially the fried green tomatoes. Can't emphasize how much I enjoyed those enough.”

Franz and Annie were very welcoming and the place was very clean and great atmosphere. I've been to some Haitian restaurants where the rice is too greasy or too dry, but Meli Melo rice was perfect! “I read some of the reveiws, me personally this is the best 7-11 in the area. The owners are nice as are most of the employees most of the time. Remember everyone can have an off day before condemning a place for one bad visit after many years think first maybe something is happening that can't be the most pleasant experience but is a little shade at a counter for maybe 2 minutes if your life really the worst thing in your life at that time. Yes I like the store and people and yes I've had bad service here or there but life is short enjoy the exercise of getting your stuff get back to the vehicles and smart tech so you can complain about trivial moments in life. “Well I'm sold! Pictured is their regular sized order of brown stew chicken. I made 3 lunches out of it and I don't consider myself to necessarily be a light eater. I happen to make this dish really well so I think my critique holds some weight: it's on the more savory side for a brown stew. There's usually a hint of sweetness to it in my experience (it almost always contains brown sugar or honey, and tomato paste or ketchup), BUT it's fantastic quality!! It looks like they use chicken thighs and yet there wasn't a hint of fat or skin to be found. Good job there!! There's nothing more gross than biting into squishy fat or skin. The vegetable blend that came with it was really good too. There was cabbage, carrots, onions, and bell peppers in there. The rice was fresh and fluffy and the plantains were as well without a hint of greasiness. Obviously I was impressed! I'm from a part of Northern Miami that has a large Caribbean population so I've eaten a lot of this kind of food and Calabash stands out for the quality of the food and friendly service.”
