Tantrum's Lakeside Grill

Had a delicious lunch by the water. Seafood combo (haddock, shrimp & oysters), grilled shrimp wake bowl, clam chowder. All well made, super fresh. Met both owner and cook, very accommodating. Will definitely go back. Need to get a t-shirt!!!

We enjoyed a great lunch here halfway through our bike ride! The patio seating was nice. Loved the plantains!

You should put some kind of visible advertising at the parking lot for the bike trail. We had been searching for a place to eat but a sign would have guaranteed our business.

Our second time here. I ordered the blackened chicken and it was excellent. Seasoned dries tasted good, see hot inside, and crisp. Ordered the fried plantains based on a review. We thought they were as good as the review said they were. Got to watched the kids ski around the lake. As a bonus, how many times do you eat with friends and find out your friend went to school with Paul McCartney and George Harrison? Great time on the deck with friends.

Great spot for a delicious lunch. I had the chicken poboy and fries.
Chicken was fresh battered, not frozen. Bread was great, not too dense and had a good bite to it.
Happy to stumble upon it. They are fairly new. Located in the Elite Cable Park building. So you can watch people water ski and have fun.
I'll definitely be back.

Found this place by accident which just goes to show not all accidents are bad!
My wife and I just left Tantrum's where we sat out on their deck overlooking the lake and enjoyed wake bowls ( No boats going by, so no wakes, but still... they are 'wake' bowls.
These bowls come in a biodegradable container that could double as a take home box. As a matter of fact, the only plastic were the drink cups and forks. The straws were also paper. Nice to see a place concerned about trash affecting the lake life.
Anyway, the bowls are jasmine rice, black beans, avocado, tomatoes, onion, pita chips, and then your choice of protein. My wife had the grilled shrimp (Expertly cooked) and I had the fried pork belly. I may never eat bacon again! This meat was way more flavorful.
Also, do not try to eat all your food and then complain that it was not cooked properly and needs to be replaced. Duncan and his wife (owners) did not fall for that... dang...
We will definitely be coming back to try some of the other dishes... except in my case... I am not sure I can get by the fried pork belly...
