“My wife and I really enjoyed big Tom's diner. We have always heard good comments on Big Tom's diner, and this is the first time that we have ever eaten there. We very rarely go out to places anymore because of the lousy service that we have had in the past at other restaurants. However, the service that we got at Big Tom's Diners, and the quality of food for the price we paid, was well worth every penny that we spent. “This is a very cozy place with very friendly staff. The service was excellent. I got the "grilled" cod with green beans and creamed corn. The cod was very good. I wished they hadn't of drowned their green beans in bacon. I always forget to ask about that in these quasi Southern restaurants. The cornbread was very good. The white bread they serve not so much.. very bland. I went with my family which included two children. The kids menu included a grilled cheese sandwich and a pork chop. The kids liked their respective choices fairly well. My sister loved the shrimp salad. The menu has a lot of good choices on it. I will certainly be up for trying this place again someday. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual.”

“My issue is not with the staff but with the excessive amount of semi trucks parked in the entrance of the store. It makes entering off the highway into the parking lot very unsettling. The truck drivers have simply created their own truck stop and no one is doing anything about it. It just seems like they parked their trucks there and sleep in them. Besides that the staff seems to be friendly and everything is convenient.”

“I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. The BBQ sauces they make are awesome, particularly the sweet and spicy version. The potato salad is fantastic and the baked beans have a hint of cinnamon which gives them a wonderful taste. I've tasted a lot of BBQ in my life, but the BBQ that Tymica and Randy make, is definitely award winning BBQ. The atmosphere is great, and quite frankly the food and ambiance is much better than Peoples! Tymica and Randy are great hosts and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a great meal. They serve breakfast and lunch only, and I look forward to trying out their biscuit and gravy one morning. I highly recommend this place if you want some fantastic BBQ. We definitely will keep coming back!! Oh yeah, their prices are quite reasonable! Their establishment is one of Haines City's gems!”

“I got the beef brisket with coleslaw and flat green beans and I would go back there again for that in a heartbeat. Brisket itself nearly fell apart getting it on the plastic Fork that is supplied for your dining pleasure and the brisket had a delightful taste all on its own even though I did use both their sweet sauce and their mild sauce. The mild sauce has a little bit of a kick in the back but it's not too bad. I say this as a person who cannot take too much heat put enjoys spicing to flavor, not to burn. I even found the combination of both of them to be pretty tasty too. The place is kind of like a year round indoor Crab Shack. That is the only description I can think of to describe the place visually. the tables are like fold-down laminated tables. Sturdy and very functional. The chairs were a tad low because I'm a tall guy but still very comfortable and sturdy. They have the interesting condiment tray at each table where the paper towels are mounted on a wood frame that you pull them off of like you would if it was mounted to the wall. Underneath of that is the sauce, ketchup and whatever you need for a tasty meal and to remain clean during it :-) the waitress was extremely efficient and pleasant at the same time. Rarely do you go to a place anymore where they get you what you want almost instantaneously. The food comes fairly quick and when you're ready for the check it was amazing how quickly they did individual checks for a table of 8 in minutes.
