“Best fast chicken you can have in the area. Comparable to a Popeyes, Krispy Chicken offers chicken, tenders, shrimp, red beans & rice, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese. Their original sauce is very close to Zaxby's in my experience, but they offer others as well. Located inside the Mobil gas station, it really is the only fast food on this side of town. (Fruitland)”

“This place is really good! Their brisket is the best, not too fatty at all and very moist. We had the brisket egg rolls for an appetizer too which had some of their coleslaw in it, super unique and tasty. The Mac-n-cheese is also really good, super cheesy and buttery.. they do not skimp on the cheese either! The baked beans are super flavorful as well. We had the banana pudding for dessert which was soo rich and creamy and delicious. We will definitely be going again in the future!”

“This is a nice little restaurant. It looks dated and could certainly use an upgrade but, the food makes up for it. The food is really. I ordered the Guacamole and Chips to start and it had really good flavor. I ordered 2 Carne asada and 1 chorizo taco, Mexican style, they were really good. The salsa picante (hot sauce) tastes homemade and was also really good. They have have a good size menu, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They seem to close a little earlier than other places, so make sure you check the times. Cresent City doesn't have many choices for restaurants, this one is good and reasonably priced.”

“This convenience store is newly opened. It’s clean and nicely stocked. They sell propane and you can exchange a 20lb tank for $19.99. My only complaint is that a lot of the store items aren’t priced. It could be that they haven’t had a chance to label everything yet. The store clerks were friendly.”

“The Calzone is not only huge and delicious, but cost effective too! The fried chicken salad was just as good! I haven't been since The Whistle Stop bought 12 Below but I'll definitely start going again!!”

“I stopped here on a whim, because I saw their coffee sign. I’m so glad I did. I wanted a latte and the friendly barista, Hailey, suggested the Blondie. It was flavored with white chocolate and caramel and was so tasty. While I was there, I walked over to the red caboose outside the building. It was so cool!”

“Lil Bits Country Diner is only open for breakfast and lunch. We come for breakfast. We ordered eggs and hash-browns. One of us got bacon the other sausage. They also gave us the voice of toast or biscuits. Everything was good. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.”

“Unexpectedly good. I was working next door on a service call and needed a little bite - HOT chili on a cold night and a buttery pretzel dog hit the spot! Very cool atmosphere in the store and they have a food truck also. Wish i lived closer”

“This cafe is very nice. The three ladies working were friendly and sociable. They got a little busy and worked very well together. The food was decent. We got the Breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl. Hubby did not care for the coffee. I thought the frappe I got was good. The locals eat here often and are also very friendly.”

“This new addition to Palatka pizza choices isn't too bad. Overall the pizza was ok, not the best but certainly better than Domino's. I don't know if the pizza was good enough to warrant a return visit when there are better options in St. Augustine and Gainesville. The wings come with a ton of sauce, whatever flavor you pick. Service is friendly. Those dining out on a budget might be put off by the fact that there aren't prices on the menu. Also it should be noted that they offer free cookies for five star reviews. Although this is great for people looking for free cookies, I think it is misleading to those looking for a five star experience.”

“We just stopped in for our first of hopefully many many times. We got the (seasoned) country fried steak , two eggs over easy , (me) hash browns , (wife) grits and toast. It was so delicious. The steak was seasoned perfect. The staff was so friendly and amazing.afterwards we checked online and saw their specials and lunch / dinner menu. Everything looked mouth watering and the Filipino specials looked. So amazing!! I can't wait to come back for more ! Thank Y'all!!!”

“Fantastic food, generous portions, and fair prices. This is definitely more of a to-go place, but they do have limited seating. It's still in the beginning stages, but eventually they plan to add more to the store for shopping as well as the hot food. The ribs are amazing and the oxtail is right up there too! The owner said he plans on adding desserts to the menu too.”

“Cute little ice cream shop. They are not serving burgers yet so only ice cream is available. Service is friendly but seating is limited. They also sell some toys and knickknacks. Honestly the little side shop with random items seemed a little out of place. Would love to see some local-made products there instead. We got some milk shakes and a Belgian waffle sundae to share. Everything was delicious! We'll be back to give them another try once they get up and running completely Update: they are now serving burgers! It is a limited selection of burgers but the ones we tried were tasty. We tried the Mushroom Swiss, Bacon, and Suicide Gator. The Mushroom Swiss was excellent and the best out of the three. Seasoned well with a generous portion of mushrooms. The Bacon burger was good, but the bacon jam was a little too sweet for our liking. We ended up scraping it off and using it as a dip for the fries. The Suicide Gator was delicious, but definitely not spicy. It's more like a mild injury burger. Also, the jalapeno chips tasted like they were out of a can- not made in house. I would still order it again though!”

“Stayed here with family for 3 weeks. Have 3 levels or rooms available, river view, non river view and extended stays. We chose the river view view after looking at options. Our room was decent and kept relatively clean. The main area that rooms opened up to had some extremely worn furniture...the koi pond was nice. The staff was fairly accommodating. There is no breakfast offered. Only coffee in morning. Noticed an odor like sewer. Mentioned to desk and was told it was a near by paper mill... honestly I think that there is a sewer issue plus the paper mill. Would probably stay again.”

“Such a happy place to eat! The owner/chef personally delivers your meal and checks back to make sure it was exactly what you ordered. The smash burgers are our new favorite! HUGE handmade burger with all the toppings for $5. The Peli Cheesesteak Nachos are a close second. Finish off your meal with hand dipped ice cream!”

“We have been going here for about ten years for a week in late January just to get out of the cold in Virginia. It has always been very clean and quiet, no matter which cabin we stay in for the week. They are always very good about letting us keep our bass boats trailered and close by our cottage. Most evenings are very quiet and enjoyable. The same was for this years trip. We did see changes and things happening that I don't know are for the good. We noticed two nights of our stay this year that it was loud outside passed 11 pm and close to midnight with people talking loudly, lights from golf carts running by the cabin while we were trying to sleep. It was the two nights that people were around the bar at the river. We have never experienced this during any of our prior stays. We hope the changes that we are seeing are not that of partying and loud music all hours of the night. We go down to enjoy quiet nights and beautiful days on the river. We are planning 10 day next year and we hope the changes we saw this year is different. We love this little community and all the ammenities.”
