Selva Grill University Town Center

Excellent secondary venue for the known restaurant in Downtown Sarasota. These one even better, although I know is the same chef. Service at the bar was excellent, and drinks very good. All the food we tasted was amazing. Spanish Caesar Salad was perfect, beef empanadas cooked to perfection, lobster tacos incredible, and the Tacacho ( Mofongo in Puerto Rico - mash plantains with pork rinds ) was perfectly done.
Good vibes, nice clientele, and again great service. Recommended.

2021-May. Nice clean new restaurant! Clean modern styling. Tables and booths in an arch layout. High ceilings but no echo or noise. Excellent parking. Come early if you don't have a reservation. Staff have a nice attitude. Greeted and attended to well. The bread makes crumbs but the staff squeegee it up for you. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Now they are on a short menu but soon they change to the full menu like the one downtown. See photos of this temporary menu.

We had the New England Lobster chowder. It was good and I would recommend it. However it sat too long in the bowl. The top was cold but the bottom was warm. Also had Selva's Seafood Paella Risotto. I would recommend it. One of my clams was bad....tough as rubber. In their defense these clams likely aren't local 🙂 ; the scallop was tender like one from cold water, Quebec or NJ ? The shrimp just fine; may have been gulf pinks. There is a nice squid hiding in there too.
Also had Short Rib Spring Roll. Supreme and you can make a meal of it. Recommended.

Prices are as expected but you can leave with a full stomach.

I didn't see the bathroom but it is brand new. I'm sure it's elegant.

Amazing food and drinks. Throw everything you think about Peruvian food out the window and dine here in this amazing establishment.

Let me be the second one to leave a review. Phenomenal ambiance, Kendra was a joy, this menu is sublime. The drink menu is absolutely amazing. Dessert menu was a must. The food was so good we set another date night directly from the table. I would strongly suggest coming to this classy place to enjoy dinner and dessert.

Amazing experience! Had the trio ceviche, totally recommend to get the feel of which one is best, however they are all tasty. Girls, the passion drink is wonderful!!! Last but not least the flank steak is to die for. Overall the ambiance and food is amazing. Would highly recommend. As my daughter says, 10 out of 10!!
