I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My girlfriend and I just spent the weekend celebrating our 4th anniversary here. It was such an amazing experience. The hotel's obviously pretty old, I'll admit that. But that's what we were looking for. I've never felt so welcome, away from home, in my entire life, by both the staff and the other guests. Seriously, it's just a cool place. The restaurant is absolutely KILLER as well. We'll definitely be back. One of the best weekends of my life, and half the reason that is so is because of the Cassadaga Hotel and the people that run the place. Thank you a billion times over.
P.s. if you hit the bar, ask for Shannon or Sereena (hope I spelled those right, ladies.), they're goddesses cleverly disguised as mere mortals. If you get a reading, ask for Lori. She's just cool, there's no other way to put it.
This is place is amazing. Loved the entire feel and energy here. Leaves you wanting more..I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
Food is fantastic and yes, this place is haunted.
We went to the Cassadaga Hotel to explore its supposed paranormal energy. The hotel discourages paranormal investigations, and you're supposedly not allowed to roam the halls with cameras. There's a large push to sell readings with the dozens of fortune tellers in the lobby and in the crystal store. Parking is very tight, and there aren't enough parking spots to serve a filled hotel and the lively restaurant. The front desk is actually the store counter. The clerk at the desk wasn't very friendly, and the desk shuts down at about 6:30PM on Saturday as we were warned. If you lose your key or need towels after then, you're on your own. The rooms are quaint and small. The sink was actually in the room, with the shower and tiny toilet in a very small separate area. The rooms looked clean, but room #3 reeked of cat urine. The cat dander was very heavy and I couldn't breathe. We left and drove home. We loved the Italian restaurant (separate review).
I finally made my trip to Cassadaga on a whim. I was lucky enough to have this idea on a Sunday afternoon, which meant I was able to avoid any crowds. I was only going to stay one evening, though I ended up extending my stay by three days! It was amazing, having no groups of people at the hotel, It’s kinda how I roll to be honest, so it was perfect.
I had stayed in two rooms, one of the rooms I have provided a picture for, which is room four if I’m mistaken. The other is room 20 on the second floor, and I really loved that room. The vanity was great to get ready at every morning, it was very spacious, I felt like a queen up there by myself.
I also met some amazing women there! I was able to cross paths with some truly great souls.
I most definitely will be back quite soon.
