This was the best meal we've had in quite a while! It's very difficult to get locally sourced, organic food (very important issues) that still tastes delicious, and Bird of Paradise knocked it out of the park! We got the "jerk bowl with tempeh" (the best tempeh made in Gainesville from my college years), and it was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the "avocado coconut dip with chips", and the dip was just the right amount of creamy and salty. To drink, I had a pineapple mojito kombucha brewed in Orlando that was light and refreshing. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was laid back island life with pops of color—even on this hot summer day, the porch was very cool and comfortable. We will definitely be going back and absolutely recommend Bird of Paradise for all to try, both locals and tourists alike!
