“Finally had the chance to revisit this charming little German restaurant, this time with my daughter and her's. We all enjoyed the authentically prepared dishes. We all ordered variations of their pork schnitzel, and all agreed it was worth the visit. The service was attentive and as good as the food. I hope they expand their menu at some point to include some other traditional options. Also would love them to expand to offer lunch hours. Overall, we'll definitely be back. I also hope they get enough business to keep this spot going, so I encourage my friends and colleagues to visit at least once. If they do, I'm fairly certain they'll be back.”

“This location has been home to several restaurants over the years and I have eaten at every one of them. The quality of food, selection and atmosphere at Iron Axe is by far the best of all previous restaurants. Their food is excellent; so far have tried the fish and chips, wings, and crab soup in bread bowl. I hear other tables raving about the Mac and cheese, ribs and salads. I plan to make this place a regular stop.”

“First trip here after they initially opened was good. They have a good concept and decent place. However on second trip today, some issues. 1. They were out of chips, French fries only 2. Chicken strips (unbreaded) were tiny. Although to their credit, they knew it and made a 3 piece meal a +1 to 5 piece. 3. Credit card reader displayed “card declined” to all orders. Cashier says it’s a known problem which they are attempting to resolve. I’ll wait a bit to return and hope trip #3 is better.”

“The food was very good. Good location. The octopus was great. The moussaka was good. The salmon salad and the Greek salad were good. I would have given 5 stars and been a regular but the portions were small. I would have given more of a tip but the waitress wrote in the tip and didn't even say what it was or tell me until I questioned what that charge was. The sign isn't very noticeable. They need a sign that stands out more, advertising Greek food. We travelled by it many times before we realized it was a Greek restaurant.”

“What a great experience to actually see the barbecue as it's being put on your serving tray. I had the Smokehouse 2x2 BBQ sampler with the pulled pork and burnt ends that was so tender it fell apart as I ate it. The taste of the barbecue is so good that you can't even compare it with the other chain BBQ restaurants. The Barbecue Beans and Mac & Cheese are the best that I've ever had. I will have to return many many times to try all of the items on the menu. A big thank you to all the employees for checking on us so often to make sure everything was just right and even refilling our drinks for us, plus taking our trays when we finished. Would have given 10 Stars.”

“The food is great. After devouring my bacon double smash, unlike all typical fast food chains, didn't have the feeling of a lead weight in my stomach. The smash fries are amazing. They remind me of truffle fries from a gourmet establishment. The staff is helpful and friendly, willing to go above and beyond to make sure your meal is perfect. “Had service of been a little quicker I would have given four stars. There was just a few tables during my visit. The food was very good and the portions were adequate for dinner sizes. I ordered Blacked Mahi. There was a band playing of two ladies. They were very sexy, and actually had incredible voices. The view of The Halifax River was very pretty.”
