“Great experience for a late-ish weekday lunch today! I came in with my parents and my best friend, and everyone found something we loved pretty easily. Street parking is a bit difficult, but it was easy enough to find a table once we were in the restaurant. The guys behind the table were super friendly and walked us through the fare easily when we looked confused and said we were new. Between us, we had a smattering of food allergies and intolerances, as well as one of us having diabetes. The diabetic got the quinoa base, but I also feel convinced that the nice folks behind the counter would've been accommodating if we'd asked to swap out the base and get an extra side instead. They really seem willing to work with you. They are also incredibly up front about the allergens in different items, with a printout on the wall by the counter that explains which allergens are present in which dishes. More info on these down below! 👇🏼 The brussel sprouts were a big hit. They're not the lame steamed kind that are just boring baby cabbages - they are more braised/charred/roasted, where you really get the tasty flavor and the crispiness. I also adored the macaroni and cheese. The biscuit was pretty good and was a nice touch, but isn't what would keep me coming back. Bathrooms were clean and easy to find. Tables were laid out well and kept clean also. To my Athens followers - this is essentially a little more southern version of the beloved Maepole. Over all, I'd be back again and again. I don't live in Milledgeville anymore, but I'll certainly be back when visiting. I even have a hope that my Celiac husband can actually eat here because of the gluten-free options, but I'll report back when I know more.”

“This place just opened up last Friday so I had to come check it out. They are located where the old Metropolis restaurant used to be so it was a familiar atmosphere to me. Staff was very friendly when I walked in the door and I met the owner of the place, Sammy. Very down to earth and chill guy who is super excited to have his own business. He gave me a quick tour around the place before I grabbed a booth seat to get some lunch. Server came over, handed me a menu, asked if I had any questions, and took my drink order. He was very friendly and attentive the entire time I was there. Started with poutine and the charcuterie board. Poutine fries were super crispy and hot with just the right amount of seasoning. The gravy was a little too thick for my personal preference but not bad. Cheese curds were piping hot and delicious though. I ate the whole thing! Charcuterie board was a standard thing: crackers, 3 kinds of cheese cubes (pepper jack, sharp cheddar, and a mild white cheddar that had a little sweetness to it), Genoa salami, soppressata salami, and some kind of capicola ham. Not too fancy but a great variety to pair well with a glass of wine. Bahn mi was my favorite thing of the day. The pork had a really good texture of both crispy edges but tender on the inside. It really worked with the fresh crunchy vegetables. The bread itself had a nice sturdy crust on it but had that pillow-like bounce back when you pressed down on it. Soft but firm enough to keep your sandwich together. Friend chicken sandwich was a sleeper hit too. The tenders were hand breaded and the ratio of breading to meat was great. What caught me by surprise were the roasted peaches. I was skeptical on how they would work but they had the right amount of sweetness with a hint of smoky flavor too. Grabbed a slice of key lime pie to take home for the wifey. They asked if I wanted whipped cream but I declined. She said it was pretty good. I personally like a thicker crust on my pies but to each their own. This place is still brand new so I would expect some menu changes to be happening. They also do not have their liquor license yet but are working on it. Also the sandwiches don't come with a side but with their prices so low you're pretty much paying the same price at any other restaurant for a sandwich and side. I'm looking forward to seeing this place grow and the menu to be tweaked to perfection”

“Ordered a surprise for my college student and they packed it so nicely, attached a note, and texted when ready for pick up. Were a huge hit and greatly appreciated during finals. Love the personal touch and helping us stay connected with our college student even though we are hours away. Can't wait to try for myself when I'm in Milly again!”

“Had dinner from Crab Hut tonight and enjoyed it sooo much. My family got brown sugar and honey hot wings they were delicious. Two members got the shrimp and grits and yes it was delicious too. Nana ate all hers and was licking the container. She rarely eats all her food. Daughter had the philly cheese steak and said it was amazing. Can't wait to try the chicken and waffles. So glad to have this new local business in Milledgeville.”

“This is sort of like a “hole in the wall” place with great seafood and Vietnamese food. I started off with the banh mi and chicken wings and my hubby had their fried tilapia and squid combo. The prices are friendly and it’s just nice to see people bringing different things to Milledgeville since it’s so small. The owner was very genuine too so I will definitely come back to support this small business and try something else!”

“Atmosphere was very laid back and nice. The live DJ was a wonderful surprise and amazing. Music needs to be a little more versatile to tailor to all patrons but for the most part it had my feet tapping and head moving to the groove the entire time. The menu needs to be expanded. Was a little pricey but based on demographic may have been on point. Food was good however the veggies could've been hotter. But taste was gr8. Wait staff seemed a bit untrained but we're kind and polite. Now that's a plus in this pandemic! We'll definitely be back again. Kudos to the owner for making my travel from Macon worthwhile!!!😘”

“there is work to be done. thank goodness for the excellent staff...we always ask for Cierra she has a great personality. the food is good. more tables are needed, folding would work when you have people waiting for more than two hours. offer a free appetizers for the long wait. communication is key, let the customers know how long the wait is...not half an hour but more than an hour.”

“Had the fish and the chicken sandwich. Both were phenomenal. Probably my new favorite place in town for fried food now and even added this place on Google maps because other people deserve to try it. Was pretty disappointed with the fries, but the entrees and toast made up for them by miles. Offer amazing portion sizes too.”

“I have been to this location twice now and decided to leave a review. The food is priced below the average for a meal of this caliber for the area. The quality of the ingredients is good with an ample amount of seasoning. No bland hospital food here. Lol I enjoyed the baked chicken on my first visit and was so impressed by the flavoring in the vegetables that this time I opted for a straight up Veggie plate while my partner went for the beef tips. All was excellent. We will be returning for many meals to come I’m sure.”

“YUM! Literally!! The burger taste better than any I’ve ever had especially the mayo alternative which was thousand island!! I’m really looking forward to transitioning 100% plant based, and this restaurant sure will help. They also are offering cooking classes and more. My cupcake was so good I almost went back for a second one!! It’s so moist and you can taste deliciousness throughout EVERY bite. 10/10 for taste and see.”

“Ok first time I went to this location I had a chili dog and it was good, fries were good. Today I went back and tried the BBQ sandwich, fries were good and my daughter liked the stew so yay! That was fine. Let’s go back and talk about that BBQ sandwich, I have NEVER in my life tasted ANYTHING like it. It was like turpentine and liquid smoke. Horrible is an understatement. I honestly think there as something wrong with it. I’m all about going back but I will not be having the BBQ. Yuk!!!”
