Great food. Horrible customer service.
Dam good, look for the pit stop bar b que on my upcoming film da streetz wanna know vol.1
I had a hankering for some BBQ after seeing a show on TV the night before, so I looked around, and found this place (the one BBQ joint in the town that I live in acts like they are doing you the favor just talking to you when you walk int he door, so I wanted to find somewhere else, reasonably close, to spend my money) and my husband and my preteen son and I went after my husband got home from work.
I had driven by The Pit Stop more times than I can count, but had never pulled in, because of one reason or another. Let me tell you, this place is the real deal when it comes to BBQ!! As any good BBQ joint, it doesn't look like much (I wouldn't recommend it for a prom or such), but the pulled pork is moist, the 5 rib plate is a great mix of ribs, which are tasty. The baked beans, cucumber salad, Brunswick stew and potato salad are all homemade and very good. The BBQ sauce is very good, tangy, with a bit to it, but not too hot or too sweet. A perfct mix for my whole family, who all usually can't agree on one sauce together. But the owners are the real highlight, a hidden gem! They were so friendly! They checked on us a few times while we ate outside, to make sure everything was too out liking and just to talk to us and find out what we liked. I will definitely go back, and recommend The Pit Stop to as many people as I can!
