First time in Savannah originally from Duvallll 😂 and this place was our stop for breakfast. The food was amazing, I got fish and grits along with scrambled eggs and peach cobbler. The food was very flavorful overall, but my only complaint was that the grape juice taste somewhat funny. Also I was traveling with a baby and stroller and to enter to the restaurant they have stairs and wasn’t told until half way down that there was an elevator. A couple other people did this as well so maybe a sign should be up at the door.
Good clean food in an comfortable friendly setting. Always up for collard greens. Chicken and waffles were good. I'm no expert in southern cuisine but was satisfied with my Egg salad sandwich on perfectly toasted bread.Just wish I could of had a drink of alcohol . There was a bar upstairs but found it inconvenient to order. Maybe on my next trip down south.
We asked our hotel concierge where to find a really good breakfast within walking distance and he recommended Debi's.
We were not disappointed in the least.
I had the Big Bay breakfast (3 eggs, potatoes, grits, sausage, bacon and toast), I eat a lot but couldn't finish it all. All of it was cooked perfectly. The service was superb and the building had so much historical architecture inside that I was entertained throughout my meal.
We will be in Savannah for two more days and this is the only place that I will be having breakfast.
Got the To-Go lunch special (Thursday) it was ready during peak lunch time within 10 minutes. I ordered Fried chicken (white meat), macaroni and cheese, black eyed peas, banana pudding, cornbread and a drink for $12! It was a lot of food for the price! The chicken was crispy and was a huge portion. Was not a fan of the Mac, it was cold and the sharp cheese in it wasn’t my favorite. The peas were delicious as well as the lemonade. Cornbread wasn’t anything to rave about, it didn’t really have any flavor just dry and crumbly. The banana pudding had meringue and was very creamy.
Just ok.... nothing special imo
