Went to toasted yolk late Sunday morning for brunch. Seating is easy with electronic sign up at Front counter we only waited for about 10 min. The Southern Benedict looked amazing on the menu but unfortunately when it arrived to the table the poached egg was over cooked. The waitress bought me a new one but by thay time the gray was cold so I couldn't enjoy the taste combinations like I wanted to. If the dish was brought put correct it definitely would have been very good so a little disappointed. The crepes needed to be done a little more but were good as well

    Where to begin…

Our waitress was new and I believe she did her best. The restaurant was pretty busy, the atmosphere was pleasant, and everything was clean.

I ordered shrimp and grits, with the tomatoes on the side and no cilantro. I received shrimp and grits with tomatoes all over the top and cilantro. It wasn’t the waitresses fault, when she was placing it in front of me she recited the order exactly as it should be and took a gasp when she noticed the tomatoes, she immediately offered to have the kitchen remake it. I told her it was ok I’ll be fine. But, I wasn’t. The dish was not good to me, the taste was very off. I didn’t like anything about it, and had to stop eating it after 3 attempts.

We tried a limited edition starter item, I believe it was churro chicken. The bacon placed on top is surprisingly spicy. The dipping syrup is a Jack Daniel’s maple syrup, it’s definitely an interesting tasting and smelling syrup which was not suitable for my daughter’s French toast. We didn’t know that there were any other syrup options because we weren’t given any with her meal, so because she poured it on her toast before another waiter told us why it tasted and smelled the way it did, she couldn’t eat it.

Lastly, my son order a fried chicken salad which he had no issues with. It was huge.

For this visit, the price was not worth it but I may try again the menu looked great.

The restaurant and ambiance were nice. Our server was funny but very busy with everything else. We got no refills and had to flag others for attention. My son had hair in his food. My husband had lipstick on his glass, and hair or some object was in my husband's pancakes. They said the cooks use a brush, so that could have been it. They just seemed hesitant to switch out his pancakes. My double-decker omelet was delicious. My son said the patty melt was very good. Shrimp and grits and the chicken sandwich were good as well. Their biscuits and fresh fruit were tasty.

We recently visited The Toasted Yolk for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and service. The menu had a fantastic variety of options, all made with fresh ingredients. I particularly enjoyed their signature "Arnolds" (Eggs Benedict). The coffee was robust and the perfect complement to our meal. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, a great place to start the day. Prices were reasonable for the portions and quality received. Overall, The Toasted Yolk delivered an outstanding dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast spot.
