Chamacos Tacos & Surf

We hit this place up for tacos and margaritas every visit and we refer everyone who stays in our condo to come ck out the best tacos on the island. So fresh, and the margaritas. Oh My My...yummy

These are the simple street tacos, no flour tortillas or cheese here. The process is that you wait in line, hopefully find a seat, and then they call out your name and deliver the food to you. Tacos have fresh ingredients and are tasty, but sauces were hard to obtain. Chips and queso dip were good. Service was friendly but food arrived very slowly for “street” fare. Good thing it was happy hour when margaritas were $2 off. Dining was outside, there was music on Friday that was nice. I didn’t like the fact that the bill had a recommended tip percent started at 20% and went up from there.

In addition to making a tasty taco this place serves excellent guacamole! Taco Tuesdays gives you a tasty discount also. Menu offers variety and kids selections. Great family spot with outdoor dining just a few blocks from the beach. Worth stop on your next visit to Tybee Island.

Great fish and chicken tacos. Surf atmosphere. Even though they were very busy, our food came out quickly. The woman taking the orders was nice and personable. Honestly this restaurant was one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Tybee (new to Savannah).
