Tin Drum Asian Kitchen - Akers Mill Square

My experience with this Tin Drum location was pretty decent other than the fact that a gentleman by the name of John Vey was efficiently taking my order when one of the female employees came directly from outdoors and proceeded behind the counter to RUDELY interrupt John from taking my order to then NOT even continue taking my order but to instead continue speaking with the person who followed her inside from outdoors. I then asked John if he would step back to the register to finish taking my order and he politely agreed. I informed John that I did NOT want that particular employee to prepare my order because after she came inside the restaurant from outdoors she went directly behind the counter to take food orders and after she was removed from the register, she then went straight to preparing food orders WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS... UNACCEPTABLE. That is not a good look for any business that handles the public's food. ULTIMATELY, my food was AWESOME!! IF I return, it will be primarily due to the great service I received from John Vey as well as the awesome tasting food that he PERSONALLY prepared for my peace of mind and experience. Thanks again John Vey for the exceptional CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Service was fine but the food was really burnt tasting unfortunately. I got the Basil Rice with chicken and shrimp, ordered through the app. Looking forward to changing my review whenever I order again, assuming the food is better tasting.

Came in for lunch. Place wasn't too busy so there were plenty of tables and seats.
I ordered mango with tofu. Took a little bit before it was ready, the person I dined with had their order rather quickly. The flavors were great, the portion was pretty significant.
The place looks like it could use a good scrub down and definitely renovated.
Parking is plentiful at no cost in an open lot.

Overall decent experience.

Excellent customer service!!!! Derrick, the general manager, was very personable, and professional. He kept a contagious smile on his face the entire time. It was really great being helped by him. Rod is an excellent cook. This is my new favorite location!!!
