Big Daddy's Kitchen

Not the cleanest soul food restaurant. Also need to improve on customer ordering process. I was asked what I was ordering, ordered fish and then the man ,who took my order, took the order of the person behind me!!He didn't turn my order in. After he completed the order of the person behind me, he told me it would be 10 minutes.I changed my order to baked chicken-good, turnips-awful and sweet potatoes-ok. The health board rating was 82. Too low for a restaurant with so much food available for ordering.

Oh my gosh!! Delectable soul food, wonderful people and impeccable service. Like eating at Grandma's house with so many tasty choices!

Food is not as salty as some soul food places. Good portions. I had leftovers. Good selection with everything you normally expect and much more. Oxtails were on sale the day I went.

Everyone i go to a local soul food place I always take forever ordering. The staff was super nice and patient with me. They had a great assortment of food and the sweet tea wasn't as sweet as sweet tea usually is but it wasn't to its detriment. I had baked chicken breast which isn't usually my first choice but there was nothing to worry about bc it tastes divine along with their stellar dressing.

The food is to die FOR! The oxtails were amazing and the candied yams are nice, soft, and sweet. The cornbread was soft and had a nice balance of sweetness and the rice was well cooked. I’m definitely coming back with a couple of friends. This food SMACKS ????
