The Pinewood

My wife and I love this place. They have very nice cocktails, a good wine selection and the food is tasty and original, specially the vegetarian dishes. The locale is nicely decorated (although I miss the Betsy Ross the used to have!) and the staff is warm and friendly. One of my favorite Decatur restaurants, and that's a lot to say.

Went here for dinner Christmas Eve and the food was the best I've had from any restaurant in years! Our table each tried different things and the reaction was the same, amazing. Every bite melted in my mouth and the staff are friendly and charismatic. Thanks Moose, Joe, and Demetrius.

The Pinewood has become a new favorite recently. I'm loving the special events and new wine list - tonight was the Bubbles and Booze, which was a lot of fun! Terrific, attentive service as usual. We also went for brunch last Sunday and thought it was fantastic, with creative takes on classic favorites, like French toast with smoked syrup. I love that you can order family-style. If you go for dinner, get the chicken and dumplings - you won't be disappointed!

I've dined here a couple of times now and I have to say that the staff is SO friendly. The hostess Bailey is so nice. I recommend sitting at the bar for exceptional service from Zack. They have a large craft drink menu. I've had two cocktails, 'The cucumber thing' and a peach & bourbon something or other...both tasty. I ordered the burger both times (once with tots and once with okra--definitely get the okra!!) because it was so good the first time. They mentioned the seasonal fall menu is about to start and I can't wait to go back to try it. Some of the best food and service i've had in the area!
