The barbeque is superb, the smoked wings too. It is the best in Rome as far as I've found.
The BBQ pork is not what makes or breaks a restaurant generally so I feel the need to discuss the sauces because it is a sauce that makes or breaks a BBQ restaurant. They have two sauces available that I saw, a sweet and a spicy. Both were good, I liked them best mixed together. The spicy has those vinegar notes that many people want in a sauce but not to the point of being too much. The spicy also was not what I would call hot but it was spiced. The sweet was somewhat thicker with the sweet flavor you would expect. The sauce is good enough to keep me coming back.
Loved the service and food!!
The girl who rang us up (blonde curly hair) was the sweetest. Such a good attitude and walked around from the counter to explain everything to us about the menu since it was our first time. Fried pickles are a must, and pulled pork was ????. See y’all soon!!!
Great food. Great folks. But no Coke Zero, so I can't go the full 5 stars
I have a hard time rating Moe's. I find the BBQ (pulled pork) excellent, but my problem is with the sides. I ordered the collard greens. The salt was overwhelming, as if they forgot they salted it and salted it again, twice. I couldn't eat it. The Mac & Cheese was also very salty, albeit tasty and edible. The beans and rice were also barely edible, due to salt. We also had a tomato and cucumber side dish which was out of this world. It was really fantastic and not salty. Many of the sides tend to be on the sweet side. Overall, it's a bit on the expensive side, too.
Great food in a relaxed, large group/family friendly atmosphere! Several members of our extended family were in Rome for a wedding. There were approximately 20 of us, but it wasn't a problem to get tables together on a Sat night, even though they were pretty busy. Even better, everyone enjoyed their food, saying it was very good and they would definitely come again if in the area.
