“I thought the food here was pretty good! I ordered the breakfast tacos and a lemon drop. The tacos were definitely good, but I wasn’t blown away. The lemon drop was tasty but not very strong. My friend got the fried chicken breakfast sandwich and the Espresso Martini. She really enjoyed her food! The food was definitely the best part of the experience. The customer service could use some work. The hostess was rude and the waiters were inattentive and disorganized. They were clearly understaffed, so I understand. Overall, I think the food was solid, and the restaurant would be amazing if the customer service was better.”

“Truth Lounge is a great addition to the neighborhood. The place is chic & comfortable. The food is not your typical bar food, they have an extensive Cajun menu and everything we had was delicious. Special shout-out to the fried okra and shrimp. They have several hookah flavor options with quality hookahs and disposable hoses. They also allow cigars but do not sell them. Our server/bartender Raven gave us top notch service. Lastly, the owners were super nice & welcoming. Overall, this place will be my new hangout spot for a low key vibe.”

“So I went here on August 21st to celebrate my 22nd birthday with a nice birthday dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious! And since I'm a vegetarian, I can only give a review on the vegetarian and vegan options. So starting with the $22 Vegan Bowl, the Vegan Bowl was so delicious, perfectly salted, had a variety of vegetables perfectly cut within it, and had perfect sweetness to it too, I definitely recommend getting the Vegan Bowl, absolutely delicious! The $8 cheese and grits had a very sweet taste to it, loved that too. The hummus and eggplant for $12 was really good as well. But I'll have to say the red velvet cake was a bit small to me, even though it tasted good, but I don't feel it was worth $12. But overall, great experience. “I'm a neighborhood frequent consumer of Yoshi. So glad to have somewhere close by in the area to get great Hibachi Chicken fried rice which I've had at least 3 times a week. “So I took advantage of their "wonderful back to the 80"s for one day" promo to get a large cheese pizza. I will say I don't eat out or eat a lot of pizza normally although I just had great thin crust grilled pizza at an Italian eatery in Newport RI (done with a traditional pizza crust not flatbread) and it was awesome, very similar to their Noni toppings with dots of ricotta and olives. I noticed reading some of the other reviews about soggy centers and I had that too. There seemed to be plenty of room to spread the sauce more evenly as there was none starting 2 inches from the rim. Maybe it has to be that way to keep the sauce from drying out. The crust was excellent, perfect for dipping the ends in some creamy Italian dressing (like ykw)... Sauce also very flavorful and fresh tasting. I'm also low sodium so whenever I have restaurant food I will notice this but it was not too bad. I am interested in trying their square pizza. Back in the real late 70's and early 80's there was a place called Jagger"s at Emory Commons with the best rectangular pizza. Crispy cheesy ends, thin crust and lots of olive oil. Pielands is a great addition to the neighborhood and walking distance for me.”
