“Cool Vietnamese concept place. I much prefer their duck over chicken but both were alright. Love their noodle dishes. The broth was perfect and yummy. They give you tons of vegetables so that was a plus. Their rice seems to be from the cheap Costco aisle, not the best choice for an Asian restaurant. Also, don't drink the broth that comes with the rice. Just like other reviews, it tastes full of MSG. Cool place to visit if you get the noodles and salads.”

“What an excellent find! I happened to be in the area and looked up coffee cafe near me on google maps. This place pops up with excellent reviews. As a coffee drinker for 50 years, I wanted to see how good they were. The place is very, very nice and comfortable. It has a great atmosphere and is very clean and well organized. The Americano I ordered was freshly brewed and unlike many coffee shops in Georgia, they served their coffee hot, just the way I like it. Cafe Rothem is definitely on my list of places to come to when I am in the area. It is a really good place to relax and enjoy excellent coffee.”

“This was truly one of the best experiences I had in a while while just stopping off somewhere along the way either where I was going or back to the house. This truly was a great place the fact that it was all fruit or healthy items really made it a very delicious treat. We had the hurricane bowl and the tropic bowl which were two of the most popular bowls that they had and we see why. The hurricane bowl had peanut butter and chocolate in it mixed with the acai and with banana strawberry kiwis and some granola mixed in it was truly amazing. Now the traffic ball was just as amazing with pitaya known as dragon fruit as a base which was awesome and then it had peanut butter over the top some bananas strawberries and some granola inside which made it taste so complete. We love the vibe of the restaurant because it had the nice sofas that you can sit on or just sit at a chair to table and it has some great music playing they had the projector with the scenes of the hot vacation spots is like it took you right there. We definitely recommend this spot and while you're in there try hurricane or tropical or any of the other options they have for you or get it to go if you don't have time to stay but I would suggest you eat it there. Thank you to the owners of Tropic Bowls Cafe, it's truly a reason now for us to come to Duluth on a more regular basis and I'm looking to try out some of that healthy toast they have as well looks like that's a very good treat too, also have a salad option and smoothies so where can you go wrong I don't think you can at all. And the best part is everything is all healthy and natural which is the best way to eat for your treats of the day, think about a ice cream bowl made of fruit only that is truly a sight to to the light in especially with your spoon and into your mouth. A few things I will point out is, the person I was with, ordered the combo pho… the beef was a bit chewy in the pho combination—could it be because it was 1.5 hours before closing? Also, the portion of the meats inside the banh xeo was very small compared to other restaurants. The banh xeo was good, but I wish there was more meat inside because I was still left hungry.”

“Yellow curry was good but the vegetables were not cooked, in particular the onions were raw. In the green curry the beans and carrots were also raw. Portion size was generous for the curry dishes. Noodles side dish came as a sticky ball of clumped white noodles. Service was quite slow and in addition the dishes that came out were spaced apart- I was done eating for about 20 minutes before the side dish of simple noodles came out even though we all ordered at the same time.”

“Boyfriend likes to play here and I've come with him 3 times just to enjoy the entertainment. All of the staff have been really kind to us. The place has a security officer, security cameras, and sometimes police in the parking lot. It makes you feel safe. The food is obviously not why we come here, but it's tolerable. “The gentleman at the cash register was kind. He asked us if it was our first time, and upon hearing that it was, guided us through the culture of the restaurant. He and the other staff were hardworking and friendly. That made the food taste that much better. The food is Japanese by name, but you can see the influence of Korean methods in the preparation. For example, there was a traditional Korean side dish offered on the menu: the spicy radish, celery, and jalapeno dish. Also, there were a few Korean ingredients used, like the red pepper powder in the salad dressing and the rice in the salmon don. The rice is not sushi rice, but it's reminiscent of Korean dup bap. The sushi vinegar was not present, but you're able to circumvent that with the ginger provided on the side. All in all, does the addition of Korean flavors and elements add to the experience? I think it does! In the slight straying from Japanese cooking methods, you find a fresh take on the cuisine. It makes you consider who the owner and staff are and how they came to create this space for people to have delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. I appreciate this restaurant, and will be back for sure!”

“Didn't get my side dishes EDITING review after we've eaten here a few more times. The chicken is excellent. Some of the best fried chicken around. Wings, boneless and whole chicken is all fantastic. The service is very friendly too. The fries and onion rings are not very good... like frozen grocery store stuff tossed in the fryer... but we keep coming back and just get the chicken. 5 stars on the chicken alone.”
