food was great, interesting history. a nice evening
I'm giving 3 stars as this place was nothing exceptional. Although for the price this place is a bargain, everything is included in the price, main course and dessert. You don't order your food, you get what they're cooking for the day. The fried Okra we had for today was quite slimey and disgusting, the Zukini Casserole didn't mix well, the Corn Casserole was alright. The mixed greens was a little too sweet. The meats however weree tender and great. The service was also phenomenal. Everything you'd expect from a Traditional Southern Eatery.
We ate there again recently with friends who were in town. It's GREAT. The fried chicken, roast beef in gravy, okra, greens are awesome. In fact, it was all delicious. The service is great, too. This is a perfect place for a family dinner.
