I wanted to try their meatloaf coming in because i heard so much about it. When my husband and I got there today, they had brunch, not meatloaf unbeknownst to us. But, it was delicious! I’m glad we stayed and ate. I got the breakfast wraps with fries. It was delicious. I was wondering why fries would come with a breakfast wrap but it works! The fries are sooo good, not like the normal thick cut fries but they’re really thin and good with breakfast. Everyone was soo nice and my mimosa we ordered was excellent. My husband got the Kentucky whiskey barrel beer and it was good too! Very light and tasty. I can’t wait to come back for the meatloaf!

I just really want to take a moment to talk about how great the bourbon peach cobbler is . Oh my goodness. Fresh peaches and made to order topped with icecream. I would have personally loved a dash of cinnamon on top. Hoping they offer apple be cobbler soon too!
My shrimp and grits had sausage and crawfish. Amazingly good and my husband enjoyed his meatloaf. It’s so clean and tidy with lots of natural light. Outdoor seating is available . Philly rolls are worth trying!
Our waitress was so attentive and kind and very very good at her job. I was so impressed by how she handled the increasing crowd with just herself and another coworker .
We got there around 11:30 and had a seat and as we were eating it was getting pretty packed . There is parallel parking around the place (it’s situated a lot a corner). If you can’t find on , don’t worry, go around back and there are more spaces to park.
This is a great addition to Old Town

Charred Oak is conveniently located in Old Town and is definitely a good spot to grab a bite to eat, drink and enjoy the local atmosphere. The service was fast and friendly. The bar drinks were prepared perfectly and the food was flavorful and delicious!

    Great atmosphere and amazing food!
There was no wait and the food was out in no time.
Y'all are always searching for delicious Shrimp and Grits, well let me tell you Charred Oak in Old Towne has some of the smoothest grits I've ever had. It was AMAZING. The portion sizes are large. The food came out hot and fresh. There are options for kids and is also an extensive drink menu. Next time I plan on getting one of their cocktails. Highly recommend 👌!

The restaurant itself is very cute, nice atmosphere, and is pretty clean. It’s very light and bright with tall ceilings and patio with tables. The bar has two TVs, so it may be an option for watching a game and having a few beers.

The service was friendly. We went for a late lunch and the restaurant was still packed (85% of tables were full), and there were only two servers, so they were both very busy.

The food took about 30 minutes (from when we ordered to when we were served), which is a long time for lunch on a weekday, but it came out super hot which was great.

The food was good. The (double) Smoke House burger was a good size (similar to a Five Guys burger) and had great flavor, but it’s kind of pricey at $20. The bbq sauce on the burger is very sweet, so maybe get it on the side to see if you like it. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes ($16) were good too, and the portion size was generous.

I like that this restaurant is open all day (doesn’t shut down between lunch and dinner), and the full menu is available throughout. Many tables were just drinking and hanging out, which is cool - it seems like a great place to meet friends for a drink/bite after work.
