Ice Garden

I learned of this place from my Airport working friends and my cousin whom live in Aiea. The two sister whom have run this shop would be so happy when I would bring my Granny here for her Shave Ice! They were always so kind to her...every visit they would ask me to remind them of how old she was...when she turned 80, they wouldn’t let me pay them for her Shave Ice! Our last visit with my Granny was nine years ago, she was 93 years old! My Granny would always eat two Strawberry Shave ice, the first with Ice Cream, the second without ice cream...my children and I loved the double flan with Condensed Milk, Taro and Mochi Balls! Simple days would be Strawberry or Rootbeer w/ Ice Cream for all of us! It’s summer and here we come again! I live in Waianae, I would go to Kalihi to pick up my Granny & now Aunty to then go to the shop in Aiea! A full days journey so worth it!! Keep up the good work Nephew and wife who has come home to Hawaii to run the business! Love and miss your Aunties!

Not sure why this place is so popular, and that's why I visited them. The shaved ice is pretty good. It's fine shaved. I did get some little chunks of ice. For the the price they sold me, I cannot say it's worth the price. $11 for flan and mochi shaved ice with ube ice cream in a small tiny styrofoam bowl. Taste? I think it's just regular. The mochi is good but they give so little. The condensed milk is plenty so that's good. Other than that, I am not superly impressed with this overpriced shaved ice.

Always a go to for shave ice on a hot day. New management and with some more experience the boy who takes the orders will learn to smile and say “May I take your order” rather than stare at you til you figure out he’s waiting for you to place the order. Thank goodness their shave ice is well known.

I was craving some Halo Halo while I was in the area and found this place. Reasonably priced considering Hawaii pricing. Ordering was simple, quick and easy. Halo Halo was good

So many choices and options! The lady there recommended number 7 so I went with it. Perfect choice as it wasn't too sweet and it came with two custard like pudding. In my opinion it was the best part and I would return just for that! ???? ????????
