Relaxed neighbourhood restaurant serving inventive Hawaiian-Asian fusion dishes.
The menu looks intimidating but the waitress ran through it all and explained what all the dishes were. There are lots of vegetarian dishes, and a few meat dishes too. Everything sounds great - next time we want to try the Short-ribs and the octopus.
The highlight dishes for me were the fried chicken, beet pokè, and the miso caramel rice pudding. It was quiet (half full) during our visit on a Wednesday evening but I’m sure it’s packed on the weekends. There’s a lovely outdoor courtyard- bar area to enjoy a pre dinner cocktail.
Just went there last night, it's a charming place, love that you can watch them cook your food over a real wood fire, smells amazing. Our server disappeared halfway through the evening and I had to ask a different one for the check, but other than that, their service was excellent. Food was delicious especially the beet poke. Strangely, one of the pieces of beet poke tasted like beet, but the rest tasted amazingly like poke, which I'm pretty sure is due to magic.
Our absolute favorite restaurant we went to while visiting Oahu. So much that we went twice! Hipster without being pretentious. The staff was amazingly warm and knowledgeable, especially about such a unique menu. We were blown away by all the food and the creative cocktails. Again, can't say enough about this place. We felt right at home.
What an amazing meal using great ingredients. Lots of vegetarian options and some mind blowing cocktails. Food was excellent using local ingredients. Server was a hoot; both amusing and highly knowledgeable making so.e great recommendations.
Came here for brunch and it did not disappoint. I ordered a dish with pork cheek and fried rice which was amazing. The flavors are on point. The bloody Mary cocktail I ordered was a little too salty for my taste so I would recommend less flavor or salt the next time I visit. You have to try the pancakes here. They're fluffy and humongous. We're definitely coming back on our next visit.
